But if that 02-03 Madrid team played this Barcelona side they would concede 5 goals because of the way they defend, but would also score 5 goals as well, so I would say there pretty even despite the different playing styles. I'd compare Ozil to Zidane more, since they are playmakers, the game revolves around them. Although Zidane probably wasn't as good as Ozil when he was 22. It wasn't until he was 24 that he joined a proper team (Juve) and he didn't become a star until the WC in 98 when he was 26. Ozil is 22, playing in one of the top 5 teams in the world and fitting in superbly. With time he could be incredible. Will he be as good as Zizou in his prime, though? Unlikely, but you never know...

@nixdaduda11 I think Mourinho's forced Florentino Perez to focus on getting young players this season. Ozil, Khedira, di Maria... and there's also Marcelo, Benzema and Higuain from previous seasons. All of them are 22 or 23 years old. As long as they decide to introduce some stability (stability? in Real? HA!) and don't go selling them all off Real has a very bright future.

C Ronaldo was a great signing though, at the moment top goalscorer in the league. Amazing player, but a total dick.
