I strongly believe Westies are different than all other dogs. Our Mandy will sit and watch TV for hours with us. When we have the laptops out she has to watch everything we do on them. They are the only dog that I know of that actually tries to talk like their people. She understands when someone is down in the dumps because she becomes a cuddle bug. I think God blessed the Westie and gave each one a mission. To bring joy and love to one person so they can pass it on to the next person.

I have a westie.... Sindy she is my baby my best friend in the world... I love her more than anything ( sorry wife and kids x)... She has to get a operation soon to attach the syliva glands to her eyes as the tear ducts do not work ( a condition called KCS) I pray it works as there is a chance she may lose her sight later on ??? We've had Labrador Retrievers for years. One black, one yellow. I love them to pieces!!

Then we got a Westie....what a wake-up!! Great little dog! Much more alive than the Labs. Leads them around. Regulates the house. Can't say enough about Westies. I'm getting a second Westie in May, against my wife's wishes. I'll risk domestic disturbance for another West Highland White Terrier. Dig On!!!!!

Totally!! I know what you mean about regulating the house. My Westie used to try to round everyone up for bed when he sensed it was time. Being an insomniac I stressed him out. He would keep coming back from my moms room where he would sleep to come bump my leg with his nose and would circle around trying to lead me to bed.
