I saw this tour.. not that they have any credibility anymore, but it was a decent rock show.. lots of pyro! On one hand, it's cool that they do the nostalgia thing (but maybe not for 14-15 friggin years :p), but I don't think they realize that Alive was only their breakthrough album in the STATES.. for the rest of the world, after seeing the same show over and over, people don't care anymore.. their early 80s era is vastly underrated, especially by themselves. I saw KISS for the first time - I waited 40 friggin years I'm patient - at Hershey PA 07/31/10. My seats were exatly where you are filming this. They were awesome and I will see them again when they come back. They played for 2 solid hours and except for my legs going numb from standing in the same place it was great

I saw this tour.. not that they have any credibility anymore, but it was a decent rock show.. lots of pyro! On one hand, it's cool that they do the nostalgia thing (but maybe not for 14-15 friggin years :p), but I don't think they realize that Alive was only their breakthrough album in the STATES.. for the rest of the world, after seeing the same show over and over, people don't care anymore.. their early 80s era is vastly underrated, especially by themselves. Live a little!!

I saw KISS for the first time - I waited 40 friggin years I'm patient - at Hershey PA 07/31/10. My seats were exatly where you are filming this. They were awesome and I will see them again when they come back. They played for 2 solid hours and except for my legs going numb from standing in the same place it was great

@Arran64 Technically Thayer is a better player than Ace but (in my opinion) Ace was the sound of Kiss. You can't mistake his tone & style. Thayer is just a cardboard cut-out devoid of personality. Harsh but true. Ace had charisma.

Stanley once said,it was Thayer who had to back in the day help Frehley remember his guitar parts..that said-it isn't saying much. Thayer and Frehley should have a contest to see whos the worst guitarist. But,but...least Ace is an original,& thats worth something. I rate guitar players on what they have CREATED with music!! NOT by how many scales and notes they can play :) Ace will always be the best Kiss guitar player because he CREATED the damn tunes!!! its an insult to Ace if you say someone who fills in for you is better?? Tommy didn't have to go through the hard process of creating classic Kiss tunes!

i love kiss but they need to change their set list.at this point you can almost predict what songs they're going to play.and yes ace is better than tommy but we're always going to like the original more than the replacement although i might be in the minority here but i liked eric carr.i thougt his singing and playing were terrific!!!

For those of you who say Tommy is worse than Ace, you could be right, but Tommy said in a recent video that he listened to KISS since he was young and played their songs, so he picked up Ace's style, and KISS probably wanted to keep the guitar solo's having the same 'sound'.
