I suggest listening to Mark Ford's recording while you're learning the piece, then not listening to it again until you've found your way to play it. Once you've established your interpretation, go back and listen to Ford's recording and see if your interpretations is what you want in comparison. Good luck to you! great job for high school level. More dynamic contrast, slightly softer mallets, and perhaps a little slower for accuracy and you could win with this piece.
