@sjoylou the jumper and the hyper dash can be obtained from the hidden areas of the northpole area and the inami temple, respectively. you'll need the ice burst weapon and/or an armor with an air dash to get the reploid with the jumper, though. you'll need the d.barrier part to make things easier when getting the reploid with hyper dash.

i got a lot of problems beaten Gate, few years ago i beat him without so much problems, but now is pretty hard... probably due the pc version has a lot of problems... sometimes Speedester is on if you are using hyper dash ( i know speedester and hyper dash has the wrong sprite) and suddenly going off... also takes continue damage battling higmax and Gate (i get a hit and still can get more damage from contact and those color balls)

Why remove one button config for dash on regular? Nothing different. (Y'know, 'O' to dash in Ps2 Falcom armor, but not on regular?)

megaman x6 is by far the best and hardest game out of All x series and i like everything on this game sound effects, music, stages, bosses, everything. i like this stage and fighting gate, u know, with his theme that remind me that fighting a boss is HARD with or without armor. 10/10 nice, u have great skill than i have even though it been a LONG TIME that i haven't play this game only bring me back good memories. cool vid.

I'm glad they kept the X armor as a choice. At first I thought the x games were hard even with armors. I kept playing and thought "I need a challenge." The X armor really does pose quite a challenge. It's just good ol' X and his buster. You also tend to rely on your learned boss moves playing as X. I hated only using them on the bosses themselves.

Equip Jumper + Hyper Dash and dash jump from the lowest point of the side of the platform.

All armors/characters should be usable in the last few stages. So the Blade Armor should definitely be usable against High Max.

it takes awhile, and i was stuck too. heres what you do: before you face him, equip meteor rain. when the battle starts, just onto the wall to your left and climb until he drops and comes after you. use the charge dash to fly over him, and repeat this until he stays in the corner and shoots his shields out. then you shoot a regular charged buster to stun him then go under him and use meteor rain. repeat this until hes dead

Equip the Jumper but you don't need hyper dash, also equip Ultimate buster, you go on the left plat form, dash jump, press the buster button which will cause him to move forward a bit then use the Giga strike which will cause him to move forward also and it might take a few tries but eventaully you'll make it across.

It's all about strategy really. My goal was to direct Gate's orbs towards the lower middle platform. Doing so allows me to use one of the platforms sitting at a similar height for some clear shots at the orb.

You can attack the orbs after they've reached their destination (ie. your position). They're invulnerable only during transit.
