  • @popsaka1 No, it is pretty stock .I will have to give the credit to Henry Ford.

    Thanks

    Norm

  • Cool kids and rod=)

  • Dear, Mr Porn

Thank you for the compliment on our "GREAT ENGINE". It is really too bad you don't get the whole idea of a RAT ROD.... But all of us here at the shop hope you have a great day ! ! !

  • Such a waste of a great engine. Why sink all that money into a nice engine to to put a turd around it. Rat rods look like people cant afford to do it right. what a waste

  • cute girl

  • Cool truck!! And La Tisha is going to be an awesome driver when she gets older :)

  • sick truck what frame are you using?

  • @the1onlyteagro. We built the frame from scratch.

  • @1hek909 Ok cool cause I'm looking into building one I already have a 440BB, 727 trans, c4 corvette IRS and a bed. I'm thinking I'm going to base mine off of an s10 frame tho.

  • @the1onlyteagro I know that the S 10 frame is popular and will do the job . I chose to build my own after doing some measuring and decided that it would be as much or more work to cut and weld another frame to get the truck as low as I wanted. We have built two rat trucks and built both frames from scratch. There are a couple of more vids that have on Youtube " Henry rat rod" and "Tiking truck"

. I have some more frame build pics on Flickr under "Five Wide Club"

  • @1hek909 cool I will have to check that stuff out. maybe I can get an e-mail from you on the PM incase I need some tips?

  • We drove my 1972 Malibu 4-door hot rod to the Bonneville Salt Flats spring 2009, drove out to the track (we'd never have found it without Google Maps on the blackberry) and the whole family took a turn driving. At the time, my daughters were 14, 13 and 7. We all went over 60 mph, but none of us could get over 70 because the salt was still damp and grabbed the tires. I was upset because I'd gone over 80 on the way there!

  • Ha ha , that is soooo cooool :)

    Hello from Germany

  • Ha ha, that is sooo coooooool .

    Hello from Germany

  • thats cool! As a kid my dad used to do the same with me an all his old hotrods. Now I'm building them on my own!

  • Now this is how all kids should be raised. My dad was exactly the same with me, and it saddens me to see all of the kids at my high school miss out on this fun.

  • Henry was telling La Tisha that you are running too much current through the fuel pump shut off switch.......install a relay or you may have a fire......Go girl !!

  • @lyon406

Yeah, we figured that out ASAP and installed a new, higher-capacity 50 amp switch that powers the cooling fans with no problem and no longer overheats.

Henry thanks you and La Tisha especially thanks you.

As always it is our goal to make sure that driving Henry back and forth in the driveway is a pleasant experience at all times.

And, yes, all of us have current tetanus shots.

Safety is our No. 1 concern here at Norm's Speed Shop!!

  • This is more practice for them as they both learned to drive in our 55 Chevy ( BETSEY ) .The 55 has a 4 speed and the clutch takes much effort to depress. The truck has a Chevy powerglide transmission and is much easier to drive. Besides they did help work on them and they deserve to drive em. Thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • No-one forgets the car they learn to drive in. These kids won't thats for sure!'

  • Way to go Pops that is what I like to see . Kids doing things with their parents! Good job dad the kids will grow up just fine. I know, thats the way mine were and they are just fine and raising their kids now. Also the truck looks GREAT also.

  • that is cool as hell ....my little girl is just like that .she is always in something dirty shop with her old man ......cooooooooool keep it up

  • Ha ha that was grate! the giel is like Hey I know what I'm doing 1:03
