I actually 'LIKE' this News story. It is HARD to find a News station that isn't spewing the Government/Coroprate B.S. anymore. I'm glad they actually called out the Police Department for their B.S. statements. In terms of a "police state," what is the big difference between these unmanned drones and the police helicopters or aircraft which have existed for many decades? These drones carry the exact same type of video equipment as those police helicopters or aircraft. If drones reduce risk to pilots, save taxpayers money (drones are cheaper), and help police track the bad guys, then I just don't see a downside. In other words, I'm all for them.

Equally true for the existing police helicopters & aircraft mentioned earlier. Again, I just don't see how unmanned drones joining other aircraft is leading us closer to a "police state."

Traffic laws are passed by our legislators, so we should focus on them (by demanding more lenient laws) if we really want to avoid tickets.
