Foster and Lloyd, damn one of the best duo's ever. I can spot a Radney Foster song from a mile away, and love everyone of them. Brooks and Dunn ripped them off with Boot scootin bull shit.
Dunn is a great singer but I couldn't stand
the other and his air guitar playing. Istill get mad whenever I hear boot scootin BS
Country music was great then, country music is great now. Montgomery Gentry, Brad, Kenny, Reba, Randy Rogers, Lady A, Trace A. , Blake s. , Miranda, and so on. I love country music.
WTF are you talking about,Loser? Drop down that crack-pipe and focus: 1987-1997 was Country Music's best. Today's best country singers would have been that Era's worst. Get your finger off your ass before you make a comment.
There was just as much crap in this era as there is now. A few stalwarts (Foster & Lloyd, Randy Travis, Steve Earle, Dwight Yokam, Lyle Lovett, Rosanne Cash, Rodney Crowell....a few others) but mostly cow dung.
No...I'm a bit older and think the golden age of country was in the 60's and 70's. Willie, Waylon, Johnny, Don Gibson, Patsy, Hank, Buck, George etc. I think it is slightly due to sentimentality.... I think most of us think our era is better than the ones that follow. I'll stack my guys against anyone (but absolutely love F&L and the people I mentioned in the first post.)
Brings back the memories, by some chance if you have acess to the video for "Crazy over you" it would sure be nice to watch it again. Thanks for posting these F&L videos, great to see someone else has a taste for the older country music.
Foster and Lloyd were great. There were several great new singer/songwriters in country music in the 80's and 90's

Great song and rarely ever heard. Much like Bailey and The Boys music from around the same time :-(

Thanks for putting this up. I think Foster and Lloyd were just so talented and had such a great "Rockabilly" sound all there own.

Great song. Reminds me of the Everly Brothers style.
songwriter77 4 years ago
Hey, the Everly's are on the wall, in the background! The images on the walls were F&L's influences - a sort of low budget Sgt. Pepper's.
BTW - I heard that the baby in the video just turned 20 years old!!
