OK their birds have you every been to a normal park they fly around there and no one picks up their feces. Plus you dont eat all day. We dont feed our horses all day or our cows they get fed twice just like the animals there. And people beat up other people its wrong but rabbits and every other animal fight its the way of life.

Hello - nice way to help spread infections - brilliant and they were so great and commenting on what they were lacking! It's a good place - but suppose it would be much better to let the domesticated animals fend for themselves in the wild OR get euthanized...

We have pets of our own, we also work in rescue and rehabilitation.

I, myself, am an infection control instructor.

We made sure cross contamination did not occur. In fact, I personally brought wet cloths in a ziplock and hand gel. As much as I didn't want to contaminate the other animals, I certainly didn't want to bring any vectorborne diseases home with me to spread to my own pets.

Guzoo is not a good place.

I live about 10 minutes away from this zoo and have been there many times. I am against animal abuse, what what makes you think these animals would do any better in the wild? Animals in the wild are surrounded by their own feuces. They don't clean up after themselves, they eat roadkill and they don't have toys! Most people don't even seem to realize that they are animals and they adapt to their environment. This is not abuse, and this zoo should not be shut down.

-Don't have toys

@Aseeym Animals in the wild do not live in their own faeces. An animal does not just need 'food, water, shelter'. It needs love, enrichment, attention and so on. These animals are in sub par conditions, breeding when they should've been spayed/neutered where possible, and being alive does not mean an animal is happy. Would you like to be stuck in a cage all your life with just 'food, water, and a roof over your head'? Doubt it. You'd be bored out of your mind which is what can happen to animals.

Getting an animal fixed is a cheap way to prevent unwanted / potentially abandoned animals and the only responsible thing for the Gustafsons to do in their zoo, seeing as they already have over 400 animals. That's what REAL animal rescues do. They try to limit the amount of animals in their care by finding them permanent homes / situations for the animals they take in. I don't see them doing this.

@qhloverr My family has been raising animals (rabbits, chickens, horses, sheep, alpacas. Right now my parents are just raising alpacas and chickens). It's only the two of them and their farm looks 1000000 times better than this. The rabbit cages are WAY too small. Those are 'pet shop' sized cages. Besides having bigger cages they need a much large pen area (with access from the cages) for them to run around in. The place is disgustingly dirty. My parents keep their farm clean every day.

Their farm has two large barns plus multiple sheds and tarped areas that are kept in top condition. Many large water buckets are filled and cleaned at least every second day and smaller water buckets are filled and cleaned daily. Chickens are free ranged and have roosting areas and 5 very nice chicken houses for them to sleep in (they have to be locked up at night so raccoons don't get them) Alpaca crap is cleaned daily and they've got very large fields for them to roam around in.

They use electric fencing called Electrobraid (which is made from kevlar and has a stronger current than regular electric fencing). Page wire fencing (or woven wire as it is also called) that they use at the Guzoo is dangerous! Animals can easily get caught in it and injure themselves. We would have NEVER used that when we had horses. EVER. Portable electric netting would be better than that. Electrified fences keep the animals from screwing around with it.
