@fbitol no dont do it! i worked for 3 months as an industrial smith on these machines. its a fucked up and hard job, you have about 50 degree in the fact. its a very hard job

On this particular show, at around the 4:50 second mark, the narrator says that the rings are used for "train wheels" That really nasty event in Germany with the I.C.E. train Inter City Express was a result of using Steel Rings like this over already~proven Solid Steel Wheels, with rubber in the middle. They didn't know that these rings of steel could fly apart due to the eccentric and resonant forces imposed on these things at the speeds they ran those trains at.
