To say that this song is in Aramaic is not a precise statement. while it is a historic fact that Aramaic, Arabic, Assyrian (Syriac), Hebrew, .. belong to the same language family, each of them over the course of history evolved separately just like the European languages which belong to Greek. This song in particular is in the Assyrian language. This language still possesses vocabulary dates back to the ancient Assyrians/Babylonians
