im in the US. and i still have the factory catalytic converter, and resonator. All i did was cut the 2 mufflers off and run 2.25" piping. its thunderous haha

i have a vr6 and i want to do with my mk3 coz i like the sound, it gets the fine noise out of it its great but does it affect the car in a bad way? what about performance does it lower the acceleration and that?

It just overall makes the car run well.if u do that, also cut the BOTTOM of the airbox out "Breezy Mod"

and it runs great.

On my VR6 I did a resonator delete, and we went were on a very long car trip, and the tack welds broke. It was so loud...

I haven't yet applied this idea but I think the best possible exhaust setup for a slick VR (any model) would have to be a high-flow cat, stock resonator, main suitcase muffler removal (if car has one), supersprint or custom cat-back exhaust. Finally a sport or racing Remus muffler at the tail. One day... my Corrado is craving it
