  • Nice video! Takes a heart I am happy to see fellow Canadians speaking up. :)

    5 Near Earth Asteroids=100 Trillion $ (USD)

    /watch?v=qyK_65_kc9w

Elite NWO don't want infinite resources they want to control the limited resources on earth. They are doing a good job keeping a harmless cancer cure illegal. Search RUN FROM THE CURE. Canadian Rick Simpson cures cancer with cannabis oil and cures many others for free and the Canadian government treats him like a criminal. Verify the science for yourself

  • He attended a BUILDERBERG group meeting before he became prime minister, which means he does not do what he does for Canadians, he does it for Builderberg!!! We should be concerned about what he is doing!!

  • I don't know what to make of this guy. He is beating around the bush when it comes to the real argument at hand. The majority of people who don't vote are essentially apart of the marginalized sector - to some degree. Thousands remain homeless...and yes there are homeless shelters, but many are infested with bed bugs. Also its the baby boomer gener. that got the harper govt. a majority. Bridgette kudos, you just stood up for an entire generation. Suck it Harper.

  • Obviously the "system" which evan soloman thinks is the sole residence of democracy, is not working. When you have a system that allows someone to form a majority government off 39% of the votes, that system is clearly not working, which therefore nessitates the enactment of democratic speech in ways which may not be within the confines of the rules of said system. Yes Evan, some pompous windbags like you will find this dispectful, but many will find it inspiring. STOP HARPER!!!

  • the only good thing about a pompous and a non-important speech to the majority of canadians.

  • the journalist well I mean the interviewer couldn't believe what this wonderful young lady have done "..... well you had a job ....you lost your job" all he cares about is the job. that's why he and people like him keep their mouths shut.... now I came to Canada from a country where people were forced to sit on hardcore bottles in police stations if they open their mouths sometimes just to breath and I always wonder why Canadians are so docile.

Go Brigette show them the way.

  • Isn't democracy people? Not "harpers Government"?

  • Somebody teach me this:

How does one win a majority government, without a majority consent?

  • @drgrinch123 The majority of ridings in Canada voted conservative (mainly because the bottom half of Ontario and the prairie provinces voted conservative, which make up the majority of ridings), but they only got 39% of total votes. NDP came in a close second with approximatively 31%. In fact the NDP wanted to implement a proportional government system which would better reflect the overall vote of Canada as oppose to the current system.

  • She is really quite a media-savvy young woman. This interview demonstrates that.

  • Michael Moore offered her a job. I think she'll accept.

  • Oh Evan. Do you think we all have access to the public the way you do?

  • SEND HER MAIL!!! FLOWERS! BOX OF CHOCOLATE!

    House of Commons

    Rouge Page: Brigette DePape

  • We need creative ways to resist! This is absolutely fantastic....and so true!

  • i have much respect for her, you need to take a stand for what you believe in no matter what your job, whether you are a soldier, a government employee or a vender on the street(which started the middle east's uprising against their dictator governments) i think it is bull crap that you are to honor your oath, like the when the us soldiers where honoring their oaths in the genocide in Vietnam and in Iraq, my point is that if you see wrong is being done take a stand no matter what your position.

  • You rock lady...way to kick ass.

  • @BayviewFinch Government is nothing but force, and if you worship it, you're the dickhead. No government on earth is kept in check. You're a slave. If you like that sort of thing, good for you.

  • @HyperIndividualist - I don't worship government. It worships me. I'm what they call a "mover and shaker." NObody fucks with BayviewFinch. Hear me? Government, shmovernment. If I thought that the government was so powerful over my life, I'd be pretty God-damned lame.

  • Who's this Harper guy? I thought our PM was Steven Abootman.

  • This journalist simply doesn't know, doesn't have the sightest idea about what democracy is... Seriously, it's worse than flabergasting: it's chilling.

  • Brigette is brave and to be commended. This parliament and its traditions merit no repsect. This is a parliament that works only for those within it and the rich and the powerful whose agenda is priority number 1 with most of the people who sit in that parliament, the same parliament that continues to treat aboriginal people like second class citizens, that simply doesn't acknowledge the existence of the poor and never has. Tradition be damned, good on you Brigette!

  • God Almighty it's a pleasure to breathe the same air as Brigette DePape.REGIME CHANGE NOW!

  • It is better than throwing a shoe like some arab journalist did to Bush awhile back. MOre civilised here....

  • Kudos to Ms DePape, young lady, you are an inspiration and I hope you continue to speak out. You would have my vote if you were to run for office.

After reading some of the comments below I have to add the Solomon is simply doing what any decent reporter would do here. He respectfully challenging her and asking the questions those either for or against her actions would like to hear answered.

  • @lanidracl

Solomon is a talentless ass kissing CBC butt nugget

  • I think Ms DePape is to be commended for her brave stand in protesting in the house of commons. Given that Cananda is hardly known as a hotbed for political protest, this young lady certainly caught the countries eye, and that is what protest is all about. Whether you agree with her politics or not, you have to admire her willingness to stand up for her beliefs! Congratulation Ms DePape, long may you stand!

  • What an inspiring lady.

  • The common line right now seems to be "this protest wasn't respectful of Canada's traditions and parliamentary institution." What could be more effective than disrespecting the institution? Don't people see the 'traditional institution' is the reason we have a majority govt with a minority vote? If Brigette had protested with 'respect to the institution' (aka outside where there were no cameras) nobody would know her name and this discourse wouldn't be had.

  • @SkillzUnknown : haha, so anarchist government is the answer, lol ... so ignorant!

  • @cutesthemune yup because peaceful protesting equates to anarchical government......this seems logical to you, yet I'm the ignorant one....need i even go on?

  • @cutesthemune

I understand you cannot paint everyone with the same brush, nothing is so simple, agreed ... however, her excusing her actions in the chamber is anarchist in it's direction ... we have laws in those chambers and she signed a contract to remain separated from political actions related to her post ... yet, she ignores all that and carries a sign ... encouraging the breaking of rules is heading towards anarchy my friend ... respect to you, though for having beliefs!

  • @cutesthemune

"disrespecting the institution" ... hmm, so if not anarchist in it's leanings how would you describe this sort of action in terms of political movement? curious, that's all!

  • Way to go Brigitte! You are correct when you say that the majority of Canadians DO NOT SUPPORT Steven Harper. I must admit that I am also impressed by the CBC's gentle handling in your interview although it is apparent that they, too support the status quo (our system).

  • Soloman - We Canadians dont need small people like you to clap your hands to conservative crooks. Brigette is ONE COURAGEOUS GIRL who deserves applause from most of us. We need'more young People like she is to confront psychopaths and and thanks "goodness" we still have some like she is... The "tradition"is BS issue, the real issue is exactly what she said !

  • Soloman comes across such a fuddy-duddy twit in this "interview". Yes Evan, we'll say for the sake of humoring you that you know more about parliamentry politics and "tradition" (whatever the hell that is) than 21 year Brigette. Does that make you feel like more of a man? More serious of an intellect? Too bad this twit didn't suffer same the same fate as CBC News Sunday. For the record Evan, protesting is often about interrupting "traditions," that's what makes it a protest.
