Something I dislike about Obama, and Cenk does this a bit, is saying that the tax cuts have a "price tag"... well hell, tax everyone at 100%, then each percent you drop has a price tag also. When i earn 70k a year, I don't say to myself, "well it costs me 100 a year to not have a 170k a year job" that doesn't make sense. Just like when you buy something on sale, you don't say "it cost them 2 bucks to sell it to me on sale" when they still made a profit. It makes no sense!

I have an awesome vision! no tax breaks, no subsidizing, no using government to influence the market with tax payer money. Then we wouldn't have special interest groups, we wouldn't have lobbyists trying to get easier taxes. The government just uses taxes as control. It is modern fascism, using taxes to control corporations and people. instead of saying, you must be healthy, we tax soda and cigs and force you to have health care or you get taxed more!

@UDSS I completely agree. I'm actually more libertarian, so not sure where that falls, but I enjoy the way he looks at the economy and how he doesn't really say capitalism is evil. That being said, some comments do get me a bit. Like when he mentions about taxes to keep teachers. Somehow he forgets that millions are employed by the government, you could just as easily let those people go and keep teachers. You can cut some of the 200k+ jobs in the government to keep those teachers too.

But my point being made is if the government has hired 1 million people, and only 100,000 are teachers, you have 900,000 other people to let go, to cut back, etc... and some of the people in government get paid 200k+. A secretary who logs people into computers in iraq, hired by the government, gets paid over 150k. It costs the government over 100 dollars per bag of laundry for the military. This is all in "the budget".

Books by themselves aren't holy, it's the knowledge/wisdom they hold and the interpretation but to say they all were poorly written is a bit insulting. Have you ever heard live Quranic recitals? There's actual poetry and nuance. The Bible by itself doesn't encourage ignorance either.
