I loved the On Broadway and MDC. San Francisco had such a great punk scene in the early eighties. I used to squat up there for months at a time and hung out with some really great punx. So glad I was around for that. The scene will never come back like that again. Bands like the Dead Kennedys, Flipper, and Crucifix to name a few typified the San Fran. punk scene and were just a reflection of the diverse bands coming out of the city back then. Fuckin' loved every minute of it!!!
Not sure im a woman or man!!!! Compare to these og punks i been listening to this shit since i was 11. Im twenty now. My dad still hates me. hahah! Fuck life sucks. Drink positive fuckers!!
I'm in the pit at this show..I was young and full of piss and vinegar!!!! Those were great years. I just got into the hardcore scene as it was starting out I'm a few years short of fifty now and still listen to old school hardcore. Wanna check out a great doc. on the original scene check out the DVD AMERICAN HARDCORE..
@MrSheltone that movie was good, but spent too much time on the east coast, i personally liked west coast hardcore better...and a good punk documentary, earlier years 'the decline of western civilization' which im sure you've seen. Also, its fairly newer, check out 'urban struggle : the battle of the cuckoo's nest" great live footage of the pits : )
i love how some people like to do things like blame others for the choices they made. no one puts a gun to your head and tells you to buy dope. get fuckin real. the effects of drugs is common knowledge. they did them cuz drugs make you feel good. moderation dudes...i mean shit yuo cant eat pizza and ice cream every night. and rockstars cant even "party like rockstars"
I bought this Target Video back in the 80s it was my favorite. I used to think the girl who does the intro was the hottest thing in the world.
