The phrase Jesus used about no man knowing the day or the hour comes from the Feast of Trumpets which is the first of the fall feasts. The Spring feasts were all fulfilled in Jesus day. The fall Feasts all relate to the second time He comes- first above the earth to rapture the church and 7 years later to return to Israel when His feet will touch the Mount of Olives and Israel will be redeemed.
People are always arguing about the pre and post trib rapture. Jesus called the church His bride and He si the bridegrom- why did he do that? Because the whole point of coming to the world through the Jewish people was to take a pattern in a race of people, purify them and teach all about the great plan for His world- the jewish wedding pattern is about the rapture- do some study for yourselves and stop arguing!!!

@pianohbc Actually, it doesn't show phases of a resurrection. What it shows are three distinct resurrection: One for Christ One for those who belong to Christ AT HIS COMING One for those at the end of Christ's reign on earth.
Adding phases to any of these resurrection is adding to scripture and specifically adding to the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Those who do so will have the plagues in the Revelation added to them as He warned in His book.

ALL of the Spring Feasts were fulfilled in the SAME year on their dates. Ex: Nissan 14th, 15th, day after Sabbath, 50 days later. The SAME thing will happen for the Fall feasts Tishri 1, 10, 15-21, 22.

I don't see it because it's not there to see. Paul said our gathering to Jesus at His coming is not imminent. Read it in Greek. 2 Thes 2:2. He said it was not 'at hand' which is the word 'enistēmi' which means 'impending' which means 'imminent'. Paul said our gathering to Jesus at His coming was not 'imminent'. The early church fathers, disciples of John, etc., said the coming would be after 6000 years from Adam. They did NOT teach an any moment rapture.

The passage talks of three RESURRECTIONS.
The first one was Christ the First Fruits as you rightly said.
The second one (resurrection) is of mankind who belongs to Christ AT HIS COMING. Revelation 19 and 20 show this *FIRST RESURRECTION of mankind* as including tribulation martyrs who did not take the mark of the beast.
The third resurrection of 1Cor 15 takes place AFTER Christ has RULED and REIGNED --after death destroyed.
One MAJOR ERROR amongst many christians is this, the idea that Jesus Chrsit is going to "Rapture the church. He is going to gather his elect, his chossen ones. The Gospel of LUKE tells us this... @pianohbc We have one teacher according to Jesus. Jesus said the elect would be gathered "immediately after the tribulation of those days". Jesus told the church/disciples the signs of His coming--which include the abomination of desolation. This IS a sign Jesus gave to watch for, a sign that occurs 3.5 years into the last 7 years. In answer to His disciples' question about the signs of Jesus' coming, Jesus referred us to Joel, Isaiah & Daniel. We should be reading & listening to them.

Isreal will bury the dead of their enemies, for 7 months, and weapons for the next 7 years of Tribulation. Isreal is now, and always has been Gods time piece. God fortold the year 1948 over 2,000 years ago for their return. Then states the generation that see's Isreal become a nation again, is the LAST ONE-now does this seem VAGUE to you? its not, and yes, Time is UP

The phrase Jesus used about no man knowing the day or the hour comes from the Feast of Trumpets which is the first of the fall feasts. The Spring feasts were all fulfilled in Jesus day. The fall Feasts all relate to the second time He comes- first above the earth to rapture the church and 7 years later to return to Israel when His feet will touch the Mount of Olives and Israel will be redeemed.

People are always arguing about the pre and post trib rapture. Jesus called the church His bride and He si the bridegrom- why did he do that? Because the whole point of coming to the world through the Jewish people was to take a pattern in a race of people, purify them and teach all about the great plan for His world- the jewish wedding pattern is about the rapture- do some study for yourselves and stop arguing!!!

@pianohbc A secret coming was never taught by Jesus. A coming before the resurrection is never taught.
The FIRST resurrection is taught to happen AT Jesus coming. Those martyred in the tribulation are in the FIRST resurrection that happens AT Christ's coming.
Phases of a resurrection are NOT taught.
Adding secret comings and phases of a resurrection will bring the curses of Revelation on those teaching them. Adding to the Revelation OF JESUS CHRIST is anti-christ.
There is ONE truth.

@boltingpuppies Corinthians 15 v 22-25 clearly shows phases of resurrection and the taking of Elijah and Enoch are clear translations to Heaven in the Old Testament. If you study the seventieth week of Daniel in context as well as the fact that Jesus gives two events- one where he meets us in the air without the saints- one where He comes in power with His saints- there are two events

@pianohbc Actually, it doesn't show phases of a resurrection. What it shows are three distinct resurrection: One for Christ One for those who belong to Christ AT HIS COMING One for those at the end of Christ's reign on earth.
Adding phases to any of these resurrection is adding to scripture and specifically adding to the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Those who do so will have the plagues in the Revelation added to them as He warned in His book.

Yeshua gave specific signs to look for that would occur before His coming and our gathering. He did not mention the Jewish wedding. He DID mention the Abomination of Desolation, something you have yet to address!
The Jewish wedding (Feast of Tabernacles), which takes place *after* Trumpets.
ALL of the Spring Feasts were fulfilled in the SAME year on their dates. Ex: Nissan 14th, 15th, day after Sabbath, 50 days later. The SAME thing will happen for the Fall feasts Tishri 1, 10, 15-21, 22.

@boltingpuppies Jesus did mention a wedding- in calling us the bride and Himself the bridegroom- He said I go to prepare a place for you - thats the role of the bridegroom. Jesus is Jewish and as I said before- came through the Jewish people for a reason. Your interpretation of the escond resurrection assumes tribulation saints and is subjective

Regarding the Jewish wedding, Trumpets happens BEFORE Tabernacles (the wedding ceremony). The Spring feasts occurred on the same year...they were not divided by 7 years. The Fall feasts will occur on the same year as well.

Re: tribulation saints being subjective. False. Scripture says the FIRST resurrection, *the one shown at Christ's coming in Revelation 19/20, which is the FIRST for mankind* includes tribulation martyrs. We also see a FINAL resurrection occuring AFTER Yeshua has ruled and reigned and destroyed death.
Revelation 19/20 line up PERFECTLY with 1Cor 15.

@boltingpuppies The argument of a recent belief is the lie and imminency was always preached by Paul and is frequently referred to in several letters. phases are definitly spoken of- first fruit being Christ who rose actually on the Feast of First fruits- then the church (rapture) - then those who belong to Him when He comes ( those out of the trib) can you not see that in Corinthians 15?

I don't see it because it's not there to see. Paul said our gathering to Jesus at His coming is not imminent. Read it in Greek. 2 Thes 2:2. He said it was not 'at hand' which is the word 'enistēmi' which means 'impending' which means 'imminent'. Paul said our gathering to Jesus at His coming was not 'imminent'. The early church fathers, disciples of John, etc., said the coming would be after 6000 years from Adam. They did NOT teach an any moment rapture.

@pianohbc I also want to clear something up about 1Corinthians 15.
The passage talks of three RESURRECTIONS.
The first one was Christ the First Fruits as you rightly said.
The second one (resurrection) is of mankind who belongs to Christ AT HIS COMING. Revelation 19 and 20 show this *FIRST RESURRECTION of mankind* as including tribulation martyrs who did not take the mark of the beast.
The third resurrection of 1Cor 15 takes place AFTER Christ has RULED and REIGNED --after death destroyed.

One MAJOR ERROR amongst many christians is this, the idea that Jesus Chrsit is going to "Rapture the church. He is going to gather his elect, his chossen ones. The Gospel of LUKE tells us this... [34] I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. [35] Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left."

Yes, true that some saints under go the great trib but that is mainly for Israel who has not accepted the true messiah Christ, read Romains ch 9 - 10 - 11.
Many proofs in the Bible that the true Chruch, body of Christ is no longer there on planet earth when antichrist comes on the sceen !
In Revelations, the church is no longer mentioned after chapter 4.

Also Jeff, when Paul speaks on the resurection :
"At the sound of thr trump of God, the dead in Christ shall raise first, then we who are alive, TOGETHER shall we be caught-up in the air to meet our Lord ..."
This canot happen during the great trib period for christians living in that period has there heads chopped off !!! That would make Paul say : "Only the dead in Christ shall resurect ...!!"
Does'nt make sense compared to what the true text says ?
So this has to happen before.

Pre-millenial, yes, because that is what scripture says. Pre-trib, not because that is not what scripture says.
Conservative christianity, or rather EARLY christianity is clear about the post-tribulation return of Christ.
Only one of these doctrines can be true and the other one is a lie and from the Father of lies. Many are deceived in these last days...Jeremiah is clear that in the last days the Pastor/Shepherds are perpetuating lies. Isaiah: "To the law and the testimony!"

@boltingpuppies There are many excellent teachers including Dave Hunt, Chuck Missler and John McArthur who give excellent exegesis that post or midtrib is not possible. None of the supporting Scriptures would be accurate if they were true and it does not bear out the book of Daniel or Revelation

@pianohbc We have one teacher according to Jesus. Jesus said the elect would be gathered "immediately after the tribulation of those days". Jesus told the church/disciples the signs of His coming--which include the abomination of desolation. This IS a sign Jesus gave to watch for, a sign that occurs 3.5 years into the last 7 years. In answer to His disciples' question about the signs of Jesus' coming, Jesus referred us to Joel, Isaiah & Daniel. We should be reading & listening to them.
