haha when our band did riverdance, we actually river danced..... it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun
We did this show my freshman year. Great performance! Your band is huge and sounds great. But did anyone else notice how rediculous the conducting style is? Why did he/she do that??
I was a Freshmen when we did this (yes i was in this band) We worked pretty hard on this, but it was so much fun doing this show. I played flute. This was at NSBA. I miss it dearly.
we won state with this in 2003, but the drill was a little better than this... no offence. we got lucky and had exwriters for the blue devils wrote it, so it was badass.
This show is so much fun for drumline. We just started on it in band camp this week and it has got the balls.... great job with this, you guys tore it up.
Wow! Is this a high school band? I'm very impressed! Having listened to the professional recording of the show, you guys sounded great in comparison. The drill was really good, too! Great job!
@SoMuchBetter44 I agree. But do you know why they march differently? I was in marching band, and we had to roll step when we marched forwards, and this band lifts their knees up and marches like the military. It's a completely different technique that would count against us if we did that...
It's called the power step. It's been a signature move of the Titan band, and the Papillion Lavista Band for years. Instead of counting against them, it actually improves the score. It looks quite amazing if everyone is uniformed. I honestly wish we could have done the whole show like that, but it take a lot of work...so we did the roll step and just add the power step in whenever it seems like a good time.
@SoMuchBetter44 ~ (2005 Perkins High School Marching Band) This is my High School Band performing at the Ohio Music Education Association State Marching Band finals in 2005 if you like to the titans show just as much as I did, could you possibly check out my show and tell me what you think of it?
Haha they are lifting their legs high. Its called a power step. They are one of the only bands left that do it. Its so cool. Its really powerful and impressive. They practice it alot so it looks great.

ok this is bothering me.... do they lift their feet of the ground like high when they march or is it just those pants that make it look like that?
dolphingidget 2 years ago
usually it's not allowed amd they're only supposed to do high leg lifts when instructed.
