Reggae was a product of ska. Ska was created by an American R&B adaptation. Pioneered by Prince Buster, Laurel Aitken, Desmond. Reggae didn't exhist before 1972'ish. Ska started in the late 50s.
just saw them at warped tour, the bassist is awesome, love the way he sways to the beat.

ska was a melding of different styles, amongst them is mento, jazz, and reggae. Ska was a product of reggae, not the other way around.
