  • Hey i have that ChessBoard :D

  • He is tired.

  • Well he's #1 now, GL to him

  • i see two used condoms in the bottom right of the screen

  • a lot of people show some kind of autisic behavior, but that is no problem.if u got autism(Asperger, not otherwise specified, high functional,Kanner)then u face difficulties in social interaction, communication, obsesive behavior(Wings triade).

  • he speaks not... (english) he is soooooo young he has soooooo talent

  • Yes...as a professional chess teacher it is easy to see Magnus will achieve the title.I have beaten over 100 GM's over the years and Mag has all the qualities, and more,to win a match against Anand or Kramnik by at least one and a half points. His great power is not merely his moves. His greatest asset is that he does not HAVE to win at chess to validate his persona.Such detachment makes winning a match easier because you are separated from the game to a large degree.A great champ he shall be!!

  • @spiritgifted Beaten over 100 gms? Who exactly are you?

  • @ObLiViOnZThEkIllEr he is known as the furious the monkey boy

  • @spiritgifted LOL you have beaten over 100 grandmasters?? as Oblivion asked also, I really, REALLY wonder, who are you?

  • 04:25 :))

  • is it me or i notice he displays autistic behavior?

  • @damthatriver09 he's being a kid.

  • @damthatriver09 he displays not just any normal autistic behavior, he displays brilliant autistic behavior... i think that kid will be the next kasparov in the future...

  • @streakvs if you have to think about that, then you obviously don't possess brilliant autistic behavior.

  • @streakvs he already is, being the #1 of the world in chess FIDE rating :O

  • They are speaking chess, I love it, very fascinating tbh.

  • someone help me out, what are they doing?

  • someone help me out, what are they doing?

  • This is so fascinating. They speak in chess almost without a word.

.. and this other guy comes and messes with it

  • hes looks bored but he laughs in his mind because the other guy cant teach him lol

  • Magnus Carlsen seems like a pretty obnoxious person.

  • magnus looks bored who is playing wit?

it seems like hes a little clumsy .

  • @Master8laster he always looks bored

  • @caskinfg that's actually an autistic look

  • one proposes a game line and the other replies if that line fails they go back and try another one and wihtin them they try many variants they don´t need to talk that much

  • I don't get how they are analyzing the games, I don't even see them talk... they are both moving multiple pieces simultaneously wtf

  • they are talking..just the mic isnt very good, so cant really hear it clearly, but you can hear it somewhat.

  • wow, I guess even chess isn't immune from flaming lol

  • Carlsen looks like he just wants 2 go home

btw 4:28 his opponent missed a 2 move checkm8hahahaa the fool........

  • Firstly, he missed it analyzing. That means he's just checking dozens of variations for a few seconds. He would never get caught by that in a real game. Secondly, do you think you can do better? Thought so; now shut the fuck up.

  • i think that is the point. they are analysing, they are playing. they probably mentioned it. but you cant hear it. after all, these people are pros. way better than you. trust me. they dont miss a 2 move mate.

  • What the hell are they doing? They aren't even talking and yet they are both moving like 5 pieces at a time. That would not help me analyze anything at all.

  • Because they are analyzing the game, they are not playing. They analize new strategies trying to find new moves and explore something new in chess.

  • Magnus Carlsen is not normal, he's too good, his elo is more than 200 higher than me, but I'm a little younger.

  • You forgot to add a zero to the difference in elo between Magnus and yourself

  • sure, u are 2600, right ?

  • no, but nearly, 2583 only :( still very low

  • I would love to be that low.

  • but i am not even the top 200 in the world :( and Magnus is 3rd... when am I ever going to get a 2600 ?? I dont think it would ever come. the 2700+ players got a good board sight, brute force calculation skill and deep understanding of the position, it is not the same as an average 2500+ player like me.

  • Benblunt!, show us some of your games! And real name.

  • shut the fuck up you liar you i checked your videos u r a 16 year old chinese and u prob dont even know how a pawn moves

  • I'm 18....and who says Chinese cant play chess, the twist is that I never knew how to play Chinese chess..... what about people like Bu XiangZhi, Wang Hao, Wang Yue and Ni Hua ?

  • Dude, if you think 2583 is low, you don't know what 2583 means...

There are less than 500 people in the world with that rating, and if you have it... Can I have your autograph!! :D

  • bro, i mean i'll never ever break into the top 100 in my entire life... sure 258+ might be something to you, but to me i think i still got an awful long way to go and beside who cares about a 25, everybody is talking about 27s and even 28s. hey this page is supposed to be for Magnus, that kid's brilliant, he's the same age as me but he's one of the world's top player and I'm nothing..........

  • @BenBlunt1 youre absolutely right. youre nothing but a patzer and a mediocre person overall.

  • well... 2600 is stille pretty good... For a random youtube guy

  • It's still pretty good for a world top chessplayer! Lowest grandmasters have about 2500!

  • I was trying to display some sort of sarcasm or irony. Sorry if it wasn't clear.

  • Magnus is a real talent, he is 18 year old?

One of the 10 best in the world??

    I'm wrong?

But annyway, he is a good player :)

  • The opponent is GM Bartosz Soćko of Poland.

  • @oskarraven Thank you, I was searching for the comments to see if anyone knew the opponent's name.

  • Comment removed

  • It's often called a "post-mortim", that is, they're both openly discussing the game with each other just after their game ended, to see what it was that the loser of the game did to his own position (more chess games are lost due to mistakes than those that are won). You'll notice that in one line of play that they reached, Carlsen has his opponent beat, and then before the analysis is over, his opponent has him beat. Very fruitful analysis.

  • Post-mortems are SO much fun; both players learn SO much, and become stronger players as a result.

  • Carlsen the best!!

  • Yeah I'm a chess newbeginner, but I thought i knew the ground rules. Anyone mind explaining me why they are moving the oponents pieces? :x

  • Didnt have time to watch the whole game, but White should have taken advantage a little earlier and not allow the Black Queen to gain the upper hand; Carlsen must have had some devious moves here !

  • i love it how he isn't even really 'at the board', he is suggesting ideas as if he has casually walked past the board and noticed something 'interesting'. what a champ.

  • magnus is opening like me I'm el matador

  • i will say hes one of the 3 best chess players in the world..after finnishing second in tour de france of chess..wordls biggest chess competition

  • lol he has such a modest face eh? go carlsen, one day you shall win world championship.

  • more like one of THESE days... Could we be witnessing the only person ever to surpass 3000???????? If anyone will do it, its CARLSEN. COMPUTERS WATCH OUT!!! Bring on Deep Scared.

  • I would love to see that, being a massive Carlsen fan :D but there is a huge difference between 2800 and 2650 players (150 dif.). Carlsen would have to add that 150 onto the highest rating ever achieved (2851) by arguably the strongest player ever to grace the game, Garry Kasparov. But who knows, his powers in chess may come to be an irresistible force. Its incredible thinking we may be witnessing a chess legend in the making. I think he needs a rival, just like Karpov was to Kasparov.

  • That won't happen. Rybka 3 is already rated 3000ish against humans on standard PC hardware, and that number will only go up.

  • Then Rybka 3 will be his rival. Rybka 3 will need all 8 CPU cores to keep him at bay too, and it's a possibility that he and his dad already own a copy of the software and train with it regularly.

  • LOL! you think Carlsen stands a chance in a fair match against Rybka3?

It's certain that Carlsen owns a copy, but no one in the world can beat it without odds.

  • Yes.

  • Rybka3 is rated over 3000.

It would mop him up just like you would beat someone 200-300 points less than you.

  • Which is why it's such an awesome training tool for Magnus. And just like you or I get better after every time we get our head torn off by somebody who's a stronger player, Deep Rybka 3 helps Magnus become stronger after every game. As players continue use these superior chess programs, human players someday will be playing above the 3000 level. It'll take a while, but it'll happen. Of course by then, another computer (Deep Rybka 10, maybe?) might be playing at the 4000 level ;)

  • @246trinitrotoluene Actually, he does! Of course he would have to be in his best form. But he has the ability to calculate like a machine and he also has the wonderful advantage of intuition!

  • @mikenugo Nah. :)

  • Carlsen has a legitimate chance to become World Champion one day. Watch him.

  • That boy looks like a nerd.

  • You are just jealous about his achievements.

  • damengabit, you, sir, are a pathetic, jealous moron. I am sure you look much mure the nerd than Magnus. Magnus looks absolutely nothing like a nerd.

  • Macieja - Carlsen (E15)

I think they are at move 17, where Macieja in the game played Bf1 placing his Bishop on the same diagonal as Carlsen's. The game ended in a draw with no material on board.

Carlsen's a promicuous Norweigan lad, right? I bet that blank stare on his face is cunningly hiding the fact there are two adoring female fans under the table.

  • I've heard that, despite Carlsen's success in chess, he is not really known in the Norwegian non-chess milieu.

  • He should be well known. I mean anyone who can play the Queen's Indian like him surely must be able to please the ladies.

     MAGNUS CARLSON

"Do you like to fianchetto my lady?" SOFIA LEKO

"Oh! Magnus you can fianchetto me any time you want to"

  • Not true at all. It's not like he's a major celebrity, but most people who watch tv or read newspapers have heard of him by now.

  • Not true. Most Norwegians know him, especially from the moment he managed a draw against Kasparov when he was little. Let me put it this way: a couple of years ago he was definitely the most famous kid in Norway not a member of the royal family =P

  • Ok. You know, I myself am a big fan of him, what I wrote above was a statement of one of my Norwegian friends (to be exactly he said "here people are more interested in football").

  • True, we are more interested in football, but everyone over the age of 12 knows who Magnus Carlsen is.
