@theintunity well i've cleaned out plenty of desktop computers, but i wanted to get a better idea of cleaning out my laptop since it's so much different. still haven't found a way to take care of mine, as there is a metal panel over the top of my fan which i can't seem to find a way of removing -.- without breaking it off anyways...
@MrElmo38 Not very risky at all but I don't know what you're like! But as someone below just said, don't use a magnetic screwdriver which I didn't think about in the video. Good luck!
@Gman200108 Yeah, some are like that. You'll just have to buy some compressed air and squirt it through the filter to try and dislodge some dust. This should help but only temporarily.
@danstickman1 I'm pretty sure my laptop fan is under my keyboard but it is built in layers and I would have to take apart 2 to 3 layers to get to the heatsink and remove the fan so ill try to take it to a computer technician but anyways thanks for the video it helped my brother with his laptop he has the same one.
You should just remove all like you did then open up the actual fan clean that and use and pressurized air duster to clean all the spaces as you said because this will get EVERYTHING out
if u disconnected the fan from the motherboard and blew it aside it would be much better as the dust in the fan wouldn't fall fall back into the laptop!
instead of using tissue paper to remove the dust, a blower would have been much better.. if a blower is not availbale, then in this case, use a small painting brush so that it can get in some places where tissue paper cannot go!
but remember, brush can cause static! so, do not use it like you're scrubbing on something!
@CinCinLei Yeah, sorry about that. I know that this doesn't work on some laptops because you have to remove the keyboard but to my knowledge, you can't do that either on a mac. It might be handy to watch my video on how to replace a laptop keyboard.
man my laptop is not like that :( i wish i can clean my laptop fan. Can i just use a compressed air spray and blow it through the ventilation? Will it kill the dust?

@leafbob1 that's a good idea. If you have more time then this would work brilliantly but mine is just like a quick fix.

@mrljthedj fair enough but I doubt that it would remove all the dust.
