  • HP Lovecraft was actually inadvertantly remote viewing alien and extradimensional entities.

    CTHULHU FHTAGN.

  • Can you put up the whole movie?

  • ''The way Lovecraft put it, there aren't any real gods at all, just advanced alien life forms that sometimes make use of us stupid, greedy violent humans when we want to feel important.''

    That's what i wanted to say,too.

    you are right

  • The way Lovecraft put it, there aren't any real gods at all, just advanced alien life forms that sometimes make use of us stupid, greedy violent humans when we want to feel important.

  • Azathoth, Nyarlathotep, Yog-Sothoth... These are just some of the gods of the Cthulhu mythos. Many were added by his friends, but he did invent some.

  • Yeah, Cthulhu and others were not gods just telepathic aliens but Azathoth and Yog-Sothoth, those guys....they're more than just aliens, the entire Universe is at Azathoth's mercy if he wakes and Yog-Sothoth is like the Guardian of Forever from Star Trek except much more powerful and pretty much evil.

  • watching this old man always makes me feel horrible. The horrors of fanaticism from all religions throughout history.. Ottoman Empire, Spanish Empire, Roman Empire, the colonization of America (real story of your fabled "Thanksgiving".. read up on it), and so much more. In the name of a "just cause"..

  • Well... I'm pretty sure there weren't any ancient alien gods involved in the colonization of America...

This movie is an adaptation to the story "Shadow Over Innsmouth" by H. P. Lovecraft.

  • I agree that Dagon is an adaptation for the story of "Shadow Over Innsmouth" and also another movie, "In the Mouth of Madness."

Oh, and I also like Lovecraftian horror.. but there is a good correlation, indirect at best, but subtle of how a civilization rises and through what costs it does.

Remember, that the colonization of America is not much different from the new nation-state of Taiwan. "Moving away from the motherland" ring a bell?

  • Just to add onto that, the Anglo-Saxons had much quarrel when they declared themselves independent from Great Britain, not only from the Native Americans, but also within the new society! and they still used the formalities of old English culture and nonetheless.. made references to the Queen as a judiciary practice at times. (court)

  • it honors you to admit that while being an american

  • @hmurdock Bullshit DAGON IS REAL! :>
