welker gets absolutely laid out every game; his whole game is about running across the middle (which all WRs hate, and half refuse to do). this leaves you open to monster hits. I have never seen him complain. Welker could play tightend. Shockey is hurt too. Shockey's position requires him to run, catch, and block. Weler has to do that too duh. If you want me to make a better comparison, plaxico is way better that welker. He has more tds and yards. Welker is good at screen plays, but he isn't too great at taking over a game like plaxico.

Welker is a workhorse receiver, he gets short throws then makes the most of them, as showed by his league leading most yards after catch. He has also come up big in a lot of clutch plays this season. Plaxico is a Moss style receiver and we all know who wins that comparison.
