  • Bach makes my balls Grow!

  • This piece is PURE GENIUS... well, that's Bach!

  • hi

  • I wish they would turn the harpsichord microphone up a bit, you can hardly hear the nice harpischord in most baroque recordings, its not bad, but if they record the harpsichord with mics close up, they could easyily make those recordings a little louder, then mix it all for the master record

  • I love Bach! When I listen to his music I close my eyes and it takes me back in time, I can picture people at a ball dancing baroque

  • I liked !!

  • This is truly my favorite song, ever.

  • @cowonabun so do you play violin, or just listen to music and not play???

  • @witchcraftlord Nope, I play trumpet and piano. I am a musician so I can appreciate good music and my years of studying theory have broadened my knowledge. Violin is one of my favorite instruments if it's played well (in tune with its section), so I really think that the combination of flute harpsichord and violin is amazing. Do you play?

  • @cowonabun i play harpsichord, piano, organ, guitar, percussion, i am planning on assembling a baroque orchestra, i would be play ing harpsichord, i am looking for string players , and wind players

  • @witchcraftlord I know a ton of great players of both wind and strings. Inbox me.

  • @witchcraftlord Harpsichord? Where on earth did you get one? In which country?

  • @ttomace I live in Canada, i dont have enough money to buy one yet, i have played a few that were built by a couple that has a shop in toronto , they make cutsom handmade historic keyboard instruments, clavier baroques i made a youtube video about it,

  • I don't want to be rude though

HARMONICO101, thank you for uploading this masterpiece.

  • This recording is not so good for my taste though. Since this is one of my favorite ever listen the same piece in a beter performance (for me ) here

    Bach - Triple Concerto in A Minor BWV 1044 - 1/3

  • @skakisla Alas, the video you're referring to is no longer available in the U.S.

  • @polymath7 I didn't know that i'm sorry

  • One of my favorites! Thank you :)

  • Fantastic piece, thank you so much!

  • un Bach radieux !

  • According to the notes: "The scoring [of BWV 1044] is identical to that of Brandenburg concerto no.5, BWV 1050."

    The scoring is not identical.

Unlike BWV 1040, BWV 1050 lacks the customary ripieno violin 2 part.

  • I never can get enough of this music! Thanks HARMONICO101

  • Fantastic. A friend showed me this video and I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoy this piece. Bach is a true genius.

  • Thank you!

  • Thank you so much, ClassicalObsession !

  • Fantastic Indeed

  • Bellísima interpretación!

  • Great and wonderful music. I love Bach!

  • ......omg I still love this so much!

  • What painting is this?

  • It's a detail from "Gorge of Amalfi" by Karl Blechen painted in 1831.

  • @HARMONICO101 These are period instruments, yes? You might want to put that in the tags for those of us who sometimes like to seek out period performances. :)

  • BACH RULES!!!!!!

  • Re: "BACH RULES!!!!!!"

    Moreover, Baroque Music Rules!

After all, Händel's Messiah remains the perennial favorite baroque music for the Christmas season, worlwide. Those of us who play baroque music, love Bach, also. However, its all about the music from the 'baroque period'. When Bach 'went to heaven', Händel lived another 9 years, still composing baroque music. Both composers were born in the same year(1685). There are numerous baroque composers. Among them, Johann Sebastian Bach.

  • haha Thank you for sharing info I already knew!! And you're so right... Baroque music is the best!!! It's awesome! It's extremely strange how Bach, Handel and Scarlatti were all born in 1685 and both Vivaldi and Bach died on July 28... Very interesting. Anyways, I have been dying to get this piece in my hands but I never came across getting this amazing work!

  • To start, if there is a Target store in your area, you can purchase the full score of Bwv 1044 there. Or request to order, if necessary. Imagine that? Well, the list goes on. Other baroque composere came in to the world, in the same year: Pachelbel and Arcangelo Corelli(1653)...Johann Kuhnau, Alessandro Scarlatti, Finger, Fux, Campra(1660)...Marchand, Alessandro Marcello (1669)...Jeremiah Clarke, Keiser, Dumage, Jacques-Martin Hotteterre (1674) and on and on....

  • They sell some of the greatest music ever written at Target? Oi....

  • Alas, Target has arrived....

Thank you for concurring. That is, indeed, why I suggested Target (of all places) and not a music publishing company.

  • Vivaldi? died on July 28 ...too

    I didn't know....

I am really happy ...was born this day :)))

  • :)))))))

  • Thanks for posting, painting is a nice touch. I've loved Bach's music since I could read. Over all I still think he was the greatest. Nothing wrong w Mozart but... I understand how they felt close to God, in church listening to Bach et al.

  • This concerto is one of several examples that gives us insight into Bach's methods of transcription.

He adapted the 1st and 3rd movements of this concerto from his Prelude and Fugue in A minor for solo harpsichord, BWV 894.

The middle movement expands his Organ Trio Sonata in D minor, BWV 527, to 4 parts.

  • Calm down little boy. I used those tags so that the video would get as wide an exposure as possible.

Are you going to complain on all my videos for stupid reasons?

  • Wasn't that user an idiot that he/she didn't know why you used those tags?! His/her comment was hilarious! lol

  • I wouldn't say he is an idiot. I'm just puzzled as to why he cares and what he seems to think tags are for.

  • you did right! this is a great piece little known. I came across with it a few years ago. It seems that Bach never composed a Flute concerto, that is when I came across with this triple concerto. use more tags! ;)

  • wow that's a funny comment and you have no idea why people put tags like the ones they do! lol

  • Nice lively performance of this beautiful work. I did my university thesis on BWV 1044 and after all these years I still find it an enigma given its unusual construction (related to and expanded from a smaller prelude and fugue) and uncertain history (no autograph MS).

  • Yes indeed. Listening to this piece is like going on a journey.

  • WOOOW this is really something, thanks for posting it :)

  • Aaaaahhh.... hearing Bach's music serioulsy defies my atheism!

  • I have listened to all of Bach for violin and Conductor But this music is quite different in terms of construction and ideas, Bach was not compose for life, there Messenger or owners or age spectrum finds misfortunes in his life simply here for liberation from Bach himself and claimed the lives compose music for this kind of liberation intellectual subcontractor, which does not have any easy it is a new stage in the new music and a new era.

  • No offense intended, but did you use Google translator or something? I cannot understand a word you wrote.

  • i think he's talking about bach bringing a new ideas and stuff, like prophets and having misfortune in his life like similar positions

  • You definitely used either babelfish or Google translator.

  • Unfortunately, I may never know his actual thoughts on the music because his postings are impossible to decypher, and he was insulted when I asked if he used google translator.

    Oh well...

  • to whomakemefeel - whomakesmeunderstand ?

  • to whomakemefeel - just inviting you to clarify your point (might be better if in plane and simple words).
