@GamersCanGame October 12th, AMD is releasing their new 6-core and 8-core line up. Prices should drop significantly on the 1090T. The new 6-core is rumored to be $175 at release and the 8-core $215. If you can hold out for 2 weeks and see benchies, that would probably be best. PCI-E3.0 mobo should be out by then hopefully also. Corsair TX750 V2 FTFW. I'm just going through my inbox, I'll get to your other msg soon. 990FX only if you plan on loading up the mobo.
@forthhokage444 Looks good. Don't know anything about the power supply. Usually if there is no jonnyguru , hardwaresecretes , kitguru review I just avoid it. I'd get the Antec EW which is the same amount and same amount of wattage, bronze rated.
@Gr8rThenU whats your budget graphic wise because you don't want to spend little on the graphic card and alot on the CPU that will bottleneck your system
About to order this!: CASE: Antec TWO HUNDRED S Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case MOBO:ASRock 970 EXTREME4 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 GPU:SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit PSU:Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-520 520W RAM:G.SKILL NS 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 CPU:AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Quad-Core HEADSET:CREATIVE FATALITY MOUSEPAD:RAZER GOLIATHUS SPEED EDITION (LARGE) MOUSE: RAZER NAGA KEYBOARD: GEAR HEAD KB1500U Tell me what you think.
@Dlowr7 Hey, I went with the Asrock 4+1 VRM design because David isn't an overclocker. If you are going to overclock a 125w TDP Phenom I would suggest an 8+2 power phase. Gigabyte 990x for $140 and Gigabyte 970 for $115 both have this feature. Looks great though. Most items on sale, should tear shit up!
@WestCoastPCbuilder Hey whats the best graphics card I can get with this $10 pc I bought today it has Intel Duo Core E4400 @2.00GHz not OC, ASUS P5GC Motherboard,Intergrated Intel 128mb graphics card,
Also another thing Im not sure what the wattage on the PSU is it doesn't say on the PSU
X-tec PWXT-400a thats the name of it someone said 400a means 400w is it true & another thing I don't know if my mobo is PCI 2.0 or old please help me & confused about the backwards compatible
@Gr8rThenU If you have a 2.0ghz duo core , then there is not point in getting anything stronger than an old school 98000gt. Even a 3.0ghz E2200 would bottleneck my old 9600gt. So I would stick with a 5670 / 6570 / GT 440 max. Otherwise probably a 5570 or GT 430.
@WestCoastPCbuilder Is there anything lower I can get then 9800 gt sorry for the noobish ness I'm not really good at buying parts also Im a bit pricy since lots of the cards ive seen online are over my price range for a graphics card thanks for the help in advance.
@GamersCanGame You'll get about a 50% FPS boost with a 3.6ghz processor!!! It will still kick but with lower clocked CPU's, generally most games will be CPU bound. At least that's what I have found to be the case. Get the CPU up to 3.0ghz! Stock cooler still ?
