Mary Tyler Moore in this film reminds me of my father. This film is so powerful even today.

This came out when I was 12 and it intrigued me. It was hard to comprehend at the time considering no one in my family had died or anyone I knew until 3 kids were killed in a trailer fire I went to school with.

If you lose yourself in the film you become intertwined with how horrible their story was and it relates to real life.

This movie really changed my life. Many people believe Raging Bull shoud've won the Oscar that year. I disagree. While Raging Bull is a brilliant film, it did not affect me as much as this movie did. Timothy Hutton's incredible performance to this day brings tears to my eyes.
