@Skimmt huh? Why would you feel sorry? It's not like they experienced anything extreme, I doubt someone inside would have noticed anything wrong anyway. This is by no means a fail, in fact it is a perfect landing in my opinion

@Skimmt Ok, maybe you have first hand experience with this....how many times have you flown on a 747-400 and how many of those times has the plane bounced?, and could you definitely tell whether or not it bounced? I've been on much worse landings than this on a 747, where the main landing gear bounced (i could tell because the spoilers deployed, then retracted, then deployed again and I felt the plane leave the ground after it touched down the first time. It wasn't bad at all, fun more like it!

1. You can not define pilot's skill by which airline they fly for.

2. Even if you flew on the most expensive airline in the world you would still get bad landings every now and then.

and 3. That 747 touched down so smoothly and the bounce was minor, the passengers most likely wouldn't have felt it.

@Skimmt British pilots are some of the best in the world, just because we make a bounce because a bit of wind or something does not make us or anyone a bad pilot. I have been in 747s in this case and it feels fine.
