I was excited for this interview because Joy Behar has been saying she likes Ron Paul all week on the show. She was really pumping him up prior to the interview. Unfortunately, her hurry to address the "only problem" she had with Ron Paul cast a negative light on the whole interview. I was excited for this interview because Joy Behar has been saying she likes Ron Paul all week on the show. She was really pumping him up prior to the interview. Unfortunately, her hurry to address the "only problem" she had with Ron Paul cast a negative light on the whole interview. If Ron could have diffused that situation better, he would have had a big boost. Missed opportunity.

I feel exactly the same way about Dr. Paul. I think he needs to focus more on the way the constitution works and clearly communicate to people that he doesn't want to run their life despite even his own personal beliefs.
The fact that so many Americans have such a poor understanding of the founders ideas and why they work makes me fear for this country.

Geese or not, voters (especially women voters) watch that show. I am a big Ron Paul fan, but he has to learn to handle some questions better. my three issues are 1) the war against evil violence, such as the war against the islamofascists abroad and the violent criminals at home; 2) lowering taxes, or, better yet, eliminating all taxes except a national sales tax; and 3) nominating strict constructionist (conservative) judges (which in itself is the only way abortion can be fought on a legal level anyway)

Giving Ron Paul 7 minutes to explain policy. This is why I don't watch much TV. They want a one word answer to a question that's complicated. As Ron Paul was trying to explain Roe vs. Wade they couldn't comprehend it and just wanted a yes or no. This shouldn't be the first question asked about his views. Regardless, the consensus is not able to make a decision on whether abortion is right or wrong so you cant exppect Paul to. He is saying leave it up to the states in order to get the national government out of our business. Its just one of those issues that no one seems to have the perfect answer for. True, What people need to ask themselves is this.
What if the federal government outlawed ALL abortion across the board? I doubt they would do that, but it is in their power.
If left up to the states, the federal government would no longer have that power to outlaw abortion in EVERY state.
If abortion is left to the states to decide, at least it could be done somewhere legally, even if you have to travel a little.
