The addictive practice, whether it's excessive sex, food ,drugs, alcohol is a TEMPORARY form of escapism from the issues, usually fearful ones. The catch is, however much sex, drugs, alcohol, food an addict gets it will NEVER satisfy. (happiness doesn't result from sex 12 times a day) One must gain control of ones own life and restore balance or else you'll never be truly happy.
