such beautifully sad, yet touchingly majestic music, and you guys want to turn this into a political boxing arena. give it a rest. if anyone had the desire, they could pick apart EVERY country in the world for its poor, war-mongering leadership, and its vastly drunken masses.
oh Andre i heard this and i have a broken neck but i promised id see you and did in berlin feb my nephew were clapping and really in to your orchestra, and what an orchestra ,i love Maniche she can play everything but im a tin whisle man and when they bury me it will be to this as it says it all,Good on ya ANDRE your one of the boys
Left blooming alone ; All her lovely companions Are faded and gone ; No flower of her kindred, No rose-bud is nigh, To reflect back her blushes,Or give sigh for sigh.
I'll not leave thee, thou lone one To pine on the stem ; Since the lovely are sleeping,
Go sleep thou with them. Thus kindly I scatter
Thy leaves o'er the bed, Where thy mates of the garden Lie scentless and dead....
hi i love this tune although i can play a tin whistle nothing comes close to andre i broke my neck and travelled to berlin to hear the maestro,i aint got much to live for but i play this tune a lot and it gives me hope as i guess thats all ive left randal
hardluck98 keep up the faith! You have a lot to live for. Yes it is easier for me to say because I am not in your shoes and going through it, but we all have our issues and problems. You seem like a fighter and after all this life is short and passes us by like a dream. May God richly bless you.
Moaning?, that`s nothing compared with the relatives of the countless thousands of Iraqis and Aghans, now those innocents have something to moan about.
It may be news to you but your various governments has made your name mud throughout the world. Lots of your citizens would agree, I know I have been to the US on many occasions and they are of like mind.
I have come to the conclusion that you are a 15 year old brat that is repeating what his mommy told him. Also you a liberal since you said, "various governments has made your name mud". By that you probably mean George Bush screwed everything up, and Obama is a god. Since you know nothing about history please look up the 7 previous US wars along with their casualty stats and you will see a trend. I am going to leave that up to you since you think you are so smart.
Proof of how wrong you are I am 72 have seen places you have never seen the sky over, experience is a wonderful teacher.
I have no quarrel with the ordinary US citizens but what a lousy lot of politicians your country has bred. When you read as much and seen as much then your opinion will be respected. Slan agus Beannacht.
Have to agree totally. The biggest disaster to hit the world in the last 30 years was Bush. He & his killer friends (Chainey etc) manufactured a tissue of lies to allow the killing, torture & maiming of hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women & children in Iraq & Afghanistan. If there is a life hereafter I'm sure these guys will experience Hell at first hand.
@clarebannerman Good on you a chara, I sometime wonder at the naievety of the Yanks, my relatives in the US are a mixed lot regarding politics, left and right, my God have you ever tried to point out the obvious to a right-winger, [and I dont mean Oisin McConville], well, they now know the consequences.
Disturbing the hornets nest leads to stung ass and along with the Brits that is what they are getting.
Ah there is the European style we all know and despise. Walking around like your shit doesn't stink. Somehow you think it is impossible for me to gain the same knowledge as you.
You are right, every single politician in the US is full of shit and needs to be tried for financial crimes against the citizens of the US.
But you like 50% of the US think bigger government is the answer. "Some people don't have healthcare, lets just vote it in. Some people don't have TV's, lets just make a law."
While your intentions maybe in the correct place your brain is not. You create massive government programs and vote 1000's of people into office and give them all the power in the world and you are surprised when the corruption starts.
So wherever you live (I would imagine France by the cowardly BS coming from you and clare). I reluctantly hope that one day you and your liberal friends get to watch a terrorist act in the future. One that claims thousands of people you know.
A definite brain transplant required here, karozans my oul friend, I am from the land of the song presently on this Thread, Ireland, and before this Thread degenerates into, "The last row of summer",

'This the last rose of Summer,
Left blooming all alone,
All her lovely companions
Are faded and gone.
No flower of her kindred,
No rose bud is nigh,
To reflect back her blushes,
Or give sigh for sigh."
Melody Thomas Moore 1779 - 1852
Words Sir John Stevenson 1761 - 1833

"So soon may I follow
When friendships decay,
And from love's shining circle
The gems drop away!
When true hearts lie withered
And fond ones are flown
Oh! who would inhabit
This bleak world alone?"
