  • Thumbs up if you would rather fly in the jumpseat instead of first class..

  • Great landing video. Actually I watch thousands of cockpit landing video and there's no perfect alignment on the runway centre line. Is it necessary to do that or not?

  • should these pilots be focused on flying instead of taking a video or having someone in their cockpit taking a video, where's the safety?

  • @avron44

Dude, in that huge cockpit, can be seated more people than the pilot and the FO. Check the angle of the camera, is just another dude in the cabin recording without saying a word or disturbing their work : )

  • @avron44 they steer with their knees to free up their hands. So you can eat a sandwich or hold a drink.

  • @avron44 This was taken from the second jumpseat, most likely a cabin crew on a supernumerary flight or another member of the flight crew. On long haul and ultra long haul flights they carry relief crew/augment crew.

  • The one at the holding point of 12L is 777-300ER, but you can't possibly know what variation is the A/C from which cockpit the video was taken.

  • WOW! That was a good landing!

  • what a shithole part of the world

  • @beergut111 what a shithole comment of youtube:)

  • what`s the plane at 0.51? Airbus? Good looking plane

  • @hokuspokus29 boeing 777-300ER

  • @hokuspokus29 : you mean, at 0.15? It's an Airbus 330-200.

  • @hagst27

ehm no, it's an Emirates 777-300ER

  • @hagst27 your wrong, its a 777-300

  • @hagst27 your wrong, its a 777-300

  • it was a perfect landing by the way ....:)

  • @tomco2000 the message is, minimuns.

  • EMIRATES babay! flying with them soon :)

  • I so wanna be a pilot but i have a chance now XD XD XD XD

  • nice touch!

  • Those engines are so powerful that they can land on short runways lol

  • They said before landing we must turn off all electronic device then what the hell is this??

  • @LiverpoolfcEPL yea that's why i never turn mine off.....just the radio on my cell phone so i don't kill the battery life

  • I like it this video.. what airline is this?

  • this would have worked better if you held the camera in one position the whole time

  • Ahhh, memories...

  • det wuz kul

  • @shmuck50 Indeed! You can hear the thumps from the centerline lights!

  • nice video

    what airliner is this?

  • i would sell my soul to be a pilot

  • @hairysaccs Being a pilot is not difficult where are you from......the problem is the physical condition-...

  • @hairysaccs i would sell my soul to be an astronaut : )

  • @hairysaccs

or just go to school to be one... you get to keep your soul..its a pretty good deal.

  • @hairysaccs with the price it takes to become a pilot you pretty much have to. Western Michigan Aviation school (ranked in the top 5 in the country) costs about the same as normal college tuition to add on to your normal college tuition. not to mention you need a private pilots license to even begin the corse, around $10,000 then you will need a commercial pilots license for around $40,000. and all that equals up to about the price of 1 soul.

  • @daylatedollashort I live in the uk. Luckily I dont need to spend money of PPL CPL or ATPL because you can join the RAF and they train you for free. Not sure about the college because they day you can join as yound as 17 1/2 and by that time im still at secondary school (Lower Sixth form) Year 12, 12th Grade (not sure what it is called in usa)

  • @NycDude66 raf take on very few people now since the SSDR, no new pilot recruiting until at least 2013 although could be later. get applying for airline sponsorship programs asap!

  • Comment removed

  • @daylatedollashort Well, Capt. Sully saved a lotta souls from certain death; so, . . . maybe it was worth it, . . .

  • @hairysaccs If you really want to be a pilot heres what you can do! Get rich, install your own flght simulator at home, and enjoy! :D

  • Smmmmoooooooooootttthhhh

  • well its probably someone sitting in the jumpseat thats filming

  • maybe smooth, but not on the center line

  • @MrBowie08

The plane did land on the center line. Can you not hear the vibration off the runway lights (which are in the middle)?

  • How can ya tell its smooth??? The camera is jerking and jolting all over the place, that said I thought he came down very fast from visual and voice Alt readout. And if the camera were still we'd probably have proof they hit rather hard. :)

  • @badback22 planes shake all the time genius.... -.-

  • @MrVAPilot How can ya tell its smooth?

  • @badback22 i got also an PPL ( private pilot license ) , and when you have over 400 flying hours of experience in cockpit you know and see when someone lands hard or soft.. , just listen to GWPS while landing , it's sounds like the pilot got a good glideslope , also the lift in the end wasn'T to strong..

greets , and happy new year..

  • @MrVAPilot

when you have a PPL, I guess you have none flying hours in a jet engine!

so your argument is totally rubbish, only you statement is correct

  • Emirates A330 @ 0:18!!

  • @ssscyborg1987 its a 777-300 you fucktard.. it doesnt have winglets.. its a BOEING. -.-

  • @fenderstratocaster96

how can you know doesn't have winglets when looking through the frontwindows? btw a ER hasn't got winglets either

  • @MrBowie08 damn. i was referring to the Emirates plane on ground hold at 0:18 secs.. not the plane that is landing in the video.. -.-

  • @ssscyborg1987 That is a negative. That is a Emirates 773 )777-300ER.

  • @zSnoWMaYnE This could be a 777-300, Emirates do have the non -300 in their fleet..

  • how did you get to go to the cockpit and take a video?

  • RESPEKT

  • @XRoge cuz emirates is the worlds largest operator of 777s with around 90 in their fleet!

  • @XRoge cuz emirates is the worlds largest operator of 777s with around 9 in their fleet!

  • hi,can you tell me pls how much fuel burn a aircraft like 777 from dubai to london !! just aproximately!!im curious :) tkx

  • @lauriersroses333 i think its about....200 LBS ?

  • @MyStarTerrapins hi,whats LBS ??

  • @lauriersroses333 mm..its about 30 tonnes of fuel

  • @MyStarTerrapins tkx :) it good to know

  • @lauriersroses333 ok tkx

  • @lauriersroses333 pounds

  • Dude i like your digital camera what brand and make is it...Awesome picture quality

  • @rafizadeh123 not very much

  • perfect landing point, right at the PAPI light....good job man

  • @XRoge i see more of there a380 and a340's

  • You aint allowed to go to the cockpit when the plane is landing ortaking off.

  • umm how many runways does dxb have

  • @bangladeshb0y 2 runway

  • you pilot?

  • can any realworld pilots tell me what they see as the downpoint in being a pilot. DO pilots see being in a pressurized cabin as unhealthy. It's a matter of fact that there is less oxygen onboard an aircraft and although it keeps you alive it is not considered healthy or great

  • i love dubai i wish i would go there one day i will be pilot

  • is this person who record a pilot? or a airsteward?

  • 777 FTW!!!

  • thats ncie

  • Lol another 777 waiting to depart... nice!

  • Why do they say check after every altitude call out? seems redundant.

  • @ejuoi to let your crewmember know you have visual confirmation. it is a safety thing that is thought to us pilots.

  • 200ft wide runway wow

  • Jeez can anyone post a aeroplane video that doesn't resort in a mass backstabbing debate about which is better Boeing or Airbus? Good landing, I will be flying the 777-300ER in a couple of years. Can't wait :)

  • Can you start your takeoff roll in the blast zone, or do you have to be "established" on the runway to start?

  • @burreaucracy you mean when they start to apply takeoff power before they've turned fully onto the runway? if so, sometimes they get clearance for takeoff before they've turned, and if so, it is then down to the discretion of the pilot. there is nothing majorly wrong with it, and usually the pilots are well trained for a quick perfect lineup on the runway.

  • @lawriemanc2 No, I guess I should have said threshold; but the area with the arrows (-->) until the official runway. Can you run up your engines and begin your takeoff roll from there, or do you need to be on the "runway" before doing that?

  • NICE LANDING!

  • who the fuck invented these things !! its ledgend ! i mean its like meatal and engine flying in the sky its so amazing (probably more than just metal and engine) but still !

  • @lydia08lund the wright brothers were the ones who discovered the principles of flight and the conditions necessary. Obviously they didn't come up with the modern designs we have today for aircraft.

  • Airbus is better definitely! Look at the B737 NG there are over 3000 of them and the a320 family has about 4500, 737NG has more crashes than the a320 and beyond that the a320 was introduced in 1988 and the 737NG in 1997-98! I don't wanna hear stories that there are more 737's, I now that, that's why I gave as a example the NG version! Any experienced pilot says airbus is more efficient and smarter! American's just think that what's made by them is the best thing in the world and it isn't!

  • numbers dont matter, its quality that matters. therefore boeing wins!

  • @SpartanW98 Yea quality that's why they keep crashing ...

  • @lukituchi theres more boeing 737's than a320s

  • @lukituchi Let us know where you found your accident information online, so we can all check it out.

  • I reckon passagers who are frightened of landings should be forced to see what it looks like from the pilot's view

It feels so much slower than the side-windows :)

  • @pappyunited that is true

  • pilots hands r shacking sooo bad

  • Is there a crosswind? What airline is that airplane from?

  • air france

  • @willettgarrett emirates probably

  • @willettgarrett the best one in the whole world!;)

  • nope etihad is.

  • @darkspirit581 is what?

  • is the worlds leading airline.Actually this was a reply to someone, not a comment to this clip.

  • @darkspirit581 no accually its Delta :P

  • MINIMUMS !

  • smooth landing

  • awsome 5*

  • first time i flew on a domestic flight i was so amazed with how fast east bound flights are compared to west bound flight as jet streams from the west are usually greater. Even to this day short going east bound always amaze me how much faster they are with the increased ground speed which detemrines ur flight time. I think canada/north america has to be the best place for airline careers

  • Question : who's Filming?

  • @Kommandant10

    the copilot

  • @Xpert30 its not the copilot you fool at 0:29 you can see his hands are on the steering

most probably it was the second officer who was filming...

  • @Kommandant10 hopefully not the pilot!

  • @Kommandant10 I supose the flight engineer.

  • @guillermovidal1lfb 777 doesn't have a flight engineer,just planes like dc-10,742,and 727.

  • @natofsx8 Okay, thank you for correct me! So it's the jump seat? :)

  • @guillermovidal1lfb no problem,yeah jump seat! ;)

  • @natofsx8 ;)

  • @Kommandant10 Maybe a terrorist...

  • @Kommandant10 Guy behind the F/O... 777 has two jump seats.. left and right.

  • @Kommandant10 Person in the jump seat right behind the first officer.

  • great :D

  • What Airliner?

  • Is this a crosswind?

  • Flew Emirates 4 days ago!!!

  • adsheff, you must ride the short bus... right?

  • you clearly know nothing

  • and airbus is like playing a pc game..

but the way boeing has their yokes it looks the safest.. (not saying it is the safest)

  • Right, right.... at the age of 14 you know plenty about flying an Airbus. Flight sim and flying are two completely different things...

  • what i ment with "like a pc game" is the fly by wire system.

    it was just a joke..

  • This sure is Boeing 777-300ER! Just listen to the engine and system sound!........ COOL

  • Why? Airbus is more unstable when in cruise as compared to a Boeing. I would not look forward if the day ever came that I was assigned an Airbus. I find the yoke to be a much better platform for control. I have been lucky enough to avoid an Airbus when I fly... and I fly A LOT.

  • i like boeing in long range aircraft but not in short range, i think airbus A320/A330's are more popular though, i would say that, it all depends on thier stability and range. not whether they have a yoke or sidestick, airbus used to put yokes on A300 and A310's.

  • yeah..but i think airbus is more suitable to europe climate..for hot country,i think lot of check have to be done to airbus plane..

  • yea you're a homo.

  • Good one.

  • What sort of childish comment is that...how old are you 5

  • calm down i was talking to rippedwookie because he was bitching about how bad airbuses are and boeing are they best.

  • Ummm... you don't know what your talking about. Do you actually think that planes are hand flown on at cruise altitude nowadays. No there is a thing called autopilot that controls the the throttles, elevators, pitch, trim and other flight controls. Anyways even if the planes were 'hand flown' like they were in the days before autopilot the type of yoke wouldn't make any difference at cruising altitude since the plane can be set to hands free level flight through pitch and trim....

  • ...Anyways in my experience most airbuses are more stable in level flight and in terms of flight characteristics then most Boeing aircraft. However, this depends on the wingspan to body ratio and many other factors so this will obviously be different for each different type of aircraft.

  • Right, right.... at age 16 you know all about how Airbus and Boeing aircraft flight characteristics compare. Give me a break.

  • I didn't say I know everything. I know somethings about them and like I said in MY experience. I have flown all of the most common types of planes of both manufacturers as a passenger. I base my experience on this and just the fact that among the aviation community Airbus aircraft commonly regarded as more easily handleable since they have incorporated more computer aided control than Boeing aircraft that is with the introduction of digital fly-by-wire on the A320 and later aircraft...

  • ... If your wondering how I would know all this I happen to be the son of a pilot and am quite interested in aviation myself. Also I have flown simulations of both types of aircraft. Although the accuracy of simulations is debateable.

  • im sick of sims, sure all the technical stuff is accurate, but you dont get the true feel of the airplane like you do when your actually flying. Sure they have the ones that move and stuff, but its nothing compared to actually being in a plane and feeling what it feels through the controls

  • right..boeings use LNAV and VNAV ..L for lateral that follows the flight plan and the V in Vnav is for vertical controls the pitch and Flight level. All of this is set out of the fmc.

If your wondering how i know i'm a pilot for emirates (777) based in DXB.

  • I love Airbus, but Boeing is just as good.

  • i thing it is better with the yolk the joystick is just to weard for me lol but i will need to get a joystick to they it that way

  • How do nyou get up to the cockpit to film these?

  • er.. isn't it obvious that he is a pilot?

  • shit i live in uae lolz

  • What GPWS say at 0:07?

  • it said "+100" meaning 100 feet to go till the decision height.

  • 100 MEANS 100 FEET FROM GROUND

  • what is the speed at the landing?

  • Comment removed

  • Depends on the weight of the aircraft.

It should be around 135 - 155 kts.

  • thanks a lot

  • It depends on the type of plane though, 747's and big planes usally land around 150 knots while 737's and smaller usally land around 140 knots

  • thanks a lot

  • meu é tudO de bOm manusear uma potente maquina 777 em um pOuso ainda da Emirates......Parabéns

  • speak english please,if you like to comment you must speak in english if you dont know sorry but you need to learning about

  • ohhh nOt speak english.....i i'm student english scholl....what your name???

  • Comment removed

  • What is that pounding noise upon landing?

  • Pounding is the stowaway letting the cockpit crew know he's still alive and ready to come out of the nose-gear wheel-well to eat lunch.

    I kid. ;)

The repetitive pounding or hammering is what's heard when the nose-wheels roll over the runway's embedded centerline lights.

  • lol

  • Who is the person with the video cam? is it allowed to have people in the cockpit while landing? and if it allowed, who can it be? a family member? a crew member? or what? cos i wanna have the chance to be on a cockpit while landing.
