  • I like this. I like the Fall. I will not get too excited though.....

I'll be at 78th Fall gig in May. Always great. Always different. There is always The Fall.

  • ... after a cold night out ....The Fall brought me here

  • Goat, I agree!

  • This may be the best piece of television ever, saw it first time. Amazing.

  • i can`t decide if this song is freakin amazing or genius.

  • @cosmicrider287 nah I decide for you for one time its genius.

  • @acidoamigo89

    Oh, then...

  • @acidoamigo89

And so what ? According to MES everybody has ripped him off and he never ripped off anyone (ahem...). He's british after all : "my band is the best, no one is relevant but me." (and that's the way we like him ).

Nothing indicate an influence of the Fall on Nirvana. Have a look at the 50 favourite album of Cobain, the Fall are not in. I like both.

  • incredible song! thanks for posting!

  • @erictheviking871

What do you think you are doing ? Commenting a video of the Pixies ? Nirvana has nothing to do with the Fall, they were never an influence.

  • My favourite song of all time...

  • 4 people had the volume turned off.

  • Visionary genius is our Mark

  • seminal. what a wanky word. 'bill is dead' and 'going to spain' fucking genius.

i rise a.m. off pink sheets

  • @okwooahh .. If that's not genius I will never know what is.

  • Roy of the Rovers looks, verse off a king. Band.

  • the toilets look like any championship league football ground ive ever been to

  • should be as masive as nirvana

  • My favourite music video based in a set of urinals EVER!

  • The master of bad acting.

  • this is the greatest times of my life. the fall rules forever. I love this song

  • Remember watching this on Snub TV as a mere slip of a lad! Quality.

  • attention nation , this is your national heritage. Eat it up, it's good for ya.

  • totally boss

  • goog man mark

  • cool

  • CHILL-AXXX AS FUCK ! Bless you Mark,,,

  • one of my favorist musician artist: the mighty fall

  • This was a tribute to MES Dad who had just passed away at the time .

  • MES looks up his own arse

  • yeah but you enjoyed it... that's even worse!!!!!!

  • wot a fuckin tune !! fuckin lov ya !! salford forever ,fuck the world !!

  • Came twice

    you thrice.

    Thats love.

  • Smoking on video is giving youngsters the wrong image >:(

    1/5,flagged.

  • a bit exagerated but it´s true. Well,I think a teenager wont start smoking by Mark E Smith, haha most teenagers don´t even know this genious

  • To all those who think MES is a curmudgeonly old bastard, listen to this. One of the best songs ever written.

  • top notch track just shows u mark can do no wrong

  • pero qué bonita canción!

  • preciosa canción

  • Think Peel put this top of his festive 50 the year it came out. The album title Extricate allegedly referred to Mark's marriage to Brix with him as the protagonist wishing to erm extricate himself...it allegedly annoyed Mark that people assumed he had been ditched. And allegedly around this time Mark was errm "friendly " with the teenage daughter of a friend. If you listen to the words in this context it kind of fits! Not perhaps the Mark everyone thinks of. But there we go. And why not.

  • The best song ever ?

  • Perhaps

  • 4.5 minutes of my life well spent

  • love this so much, playing it to my wife right now so she understands why if I should ever die, I want it played at my funeral

  • Its very a different song coming from the fall, but its really good. Kinda somber

  • SNUB tv was such a great music programme. 19 years since this was orginally broadcast, crazy! Extricate is my favourite Fall album

  • not a massive fall fan, but i love this... has that arab strap quality to it, of something that provokes nostalgia and hope and loss, probably whilst pissed on your birthday... don't really expect mark to sound tender, but this is lovely.

  • Surely you cant think this is more pop than Victoria?.......This is a great song in my opinion, its got a distinctly Velvet Underground feel to it.

  • THE FALL ALWAYS DIFFERENT ALWAYS THE SAME EXCELLENT PEROID OF MARK e

  • This is good stuff! I think the lowest album from The Fall is probably Bend Sinister, and even that is enjoyable.

  • ....paid 2 days for getting high.....

  • as poppy as The Fall have ever got...!

  • who was bill?

  • his dad

  • I thought it was a reference to Brix? It was just when they spilt up.

  • his dad

  • Tough call. According to Simon Ford's book, Hip Priest (highly recommended), Bill was the best friend of Mark's dad, whose name was John. Written not long after his dad died, though.

  • You must buy the Extricate album - not a duff song on there and always brings a smile to the face!

  • this is great

the finest times of my life,

    thx

  • I love this

  • they were the finest times.1990 etc

  • the best band kinks next the fall

  • What a great song. I remember it from college. It makes me feel fuzzy, nostalgic, and dark.

  • great song

  • remember this from snubtv, edinburgh is one of the falls best
