Actualy the original g1 version of this toy was such a rip off from macros that hasbro even left the macross logo on the wing. And yeah the macros guys sued hasbro but things got worked out. Also for someone who hates reviewing on vid u do a preaty good job

i love the skyfire paint job so much but this guy is just brutal especially the hints of brown throughout it ugh. Nice review though man :)

And it's not really all that surprising that they're still around; repaints of popular original molds usually hang around a bit more simply because they are repaints.

@CollectionDX only flaw mine has is that it has two right rocket launchers. ie. the screw on the left one is visible. Also, thety had the towed to safety movie set, cybertron legends leo prime, and titanium mini predaking!

He is a recolor of Classics Jetfire, the G1 Jetfire toy is a repaint of Macross VF-1S Super Valkyrie model, his classics toy reflected all his G1 features with added accuracy.

A nice video EVA_Unit_4A. I've been collecting TF's since 1984 & the Classics/Universe line is my favorite incarnation since G1 w/the possible exception of RiD.

Couple of points if I could:

The Battle Helmet actually makes Universe TB closer in facial appearance to the Micromaster TB.

Also, he's one of two Micromasters getting a Classics upgrade-Ultra level Countdown is the other.

Anyone interested in him check TRU-they have been running 1/2 off Voyager Universe figures now & then.

That was a very thorough review of Treadbolt! Good job! Treadbolt is one of my favorite Transformers, and I think this review showed off all of his good qualities to the full. Again, very good job!

Nice review. The colors on this one look really bad to me also. I recommend that people who are interested in this figure stick with either the Classics version or Henkei version.

Smaller toys bring out the shakes more, I don't know why. It's mostly when I'm stressed, hungry, and/or manipulating smaller items.

We all have it- mine is just a little-more pronounced; it's simply how I'm wired upstairs, ya know?

Someday- decades from now- it'll get bad enough I'll need corrective surgery. (My great-uncle needed it, a few years before he died at 91).

I agree. The brown kinda takes away from the toy. But overall, I do like the repaint. It's a fresh look at this mold. The mold is just so awesome that it's worth getting him in different colors.

If it had been silver or gray instead of brown and orange I'd've had no problem.

Sometimes, I'll skip the original toy for a repaint because I like the latter more-so; this was not the case, as I really wanted the Jetfire colors instead.

I never saw the Skyfire G1 episode, but the colors for the Classics toy just looked better than Tread Bolt's did, IMO.

Oh, I've got the original Japanese figure, Dreadrock/Dreadlock, and it is a really awesome toy.

Classics Jetfire is pretty sweet too, but like I said in the review, I missed him 'cause I waited too long, and was forced to get Tread Bolt here.
