I'm sorry guys...please reply to this comment if you think I am wrong...but RA does not suits soaps...and this is a soap...the people gave him a horrible wardrobe and the other actors are bad and dont do him justice!!!...though I am not worried because i know RA is amazing in his roles as Guy and Lucas North
I'm not an expert in soaps but what I know is that scripts are much more foreseeable than this, full of cliches, and characters are usually stereotypes. Those characters are rather flat. Instead I find these John and Ellie are quite "round", they have got psychological insight. John's final words in jail are so well written and so effective. Am I exaggerating?
It's the lines when he says "tell me what it is you're gonna do?"(while smirking) & "it's not like it was with us I really care about Ellie" & "Ellie doesn't need you, neither of us do"

Well I thought of that too when watching this for the first time. Some of the clothes seem quite out of date. But Richard is Richard and Richard is always GORGEOUS!!! :o)
I think that was the point - his clothes were mismatching and not quite fitting him; I think it showed how he tried to appear more wealthy and legit than he actually was.
Wait...in that last scene were they in New York? Because if they were she was on the wring side of the car...
