Sharing the gospel can come in many forms. The way I became a Christian was a girl walking up to me on the streets, sharing how she had become a Christian. It was as if she was talking about my life. How could she know so much about me. She shared how Jesus had died on the cross for my sins. She got my phone number and invited me to her church, thus my journey began in Christ.

I just started asking people if they believe Jesus died for our sins. The Lord's punishment will be final, but you will not be physically suffering. "Accepting" Christ guarantees you are NOT saved. Christ does 100% of the work, to save those He came to save. A witness points to the Bible, only Christ can save. The Lord Creates His own witnesses. Only the Lord's chosen witness have been given the Spirit of Truth.

A preacher once told me that some think of Genesis chapter two as a clarification of one, while it is in truth a separate event. In Gen 1, God CREATED birds and fish, then Animals, then people. Actually I see it as a more specific layout of man from Chapter 1. There is no time or chronlogical order in chapter 2 that is done in chapter one. God made man in His image, He made him from dust. No contridiction- Made woman from a rib- no contridiction. No mention of order of creation in chapter 2- again no contridiction. Where chap 1 focuses on creation, 2 focuses on man.

Where is the chronicologicla order? Before you call someone a liar, prove your facts.
Verses 7, 19, and 22 show nothing of a chronolodical order.
If you want a true and serious discusion I would suggest you be a little more civil in your language. If you are wrong, I would not call you a liar. I would expect the same respect.
Ch2 isn't retelling of Ch1, it expands it. To get to the meat of Ch 2 it recaps Ch1. Like a check-off list in your head doesn't have to be chronological. It doesn't mean that birds/beasts are same day and after man, but none were sufficient for him to not be alone. I hope this helps.

It can all be true. Translation and frames of reference explain how aren't 'contradictions'. The richness of original text makes distinctions not found in English. Furthermore, you can make something in your own image from something, like clay.
If your mind isn't closed, I suggest you read Hugh Ross' book, The Genesis Question. He's a PhD (astronomer) and uses real science and peer reviewed journals, etc. to explain more completely. It's not an easy read, but it's enlightening. ("Fingerprints of God" isn't too bad, either - but "Creator and the Cosmos" practically requires a PhD to understand the physics involved). Recommend "Genesis Question" most for this discussion, though.

Sharing the gospel can come in many forms. The way I became a Christian was a girl walking up to me on the streets, sharing how she had become a Christian. It was as if she was talking about my life. How could she know so much about me. She shared how Jesus had died on the cross for my sins. She got my phone number and invited me to her church, thus my journey began in Christ.

If he or she believes beyond the shadow of a doubt that Jesus is the only way why would you expect him/her to keep it to themselves? Let's say for arguments sake that this is the truth. If they fail to tell you, have they done you a disservice? On the flip side, if it is not the truth, have they really hurt you by telling you what they believe to be true?

I just started asking people if they believe Jesus died for our sins. Only done it for 2 days, but 1 guy said he used to then he stopped so he believes in good deeds and the other 2 girls do believe but don't read the Bible. I just look at it like "plant the seed of Christ" and we can memorize scripture and have amazing gifts, but if you don't do it out of love then it means nothing.

the handwriters of the Bible had nothing to gain except death.
God used humans to write things in human terms. if God wrote it, ppl wouldn't understand. ie. Job, the disciples wouldn't understand laws of physics.

1. humans could not have come up with specific prophecies of a coming messiah, from birth (where, when, who etc.), to death, to His actions. the more prophecies Jesus fulfilled, the more evidence it is that the source was God.

Yikes!! Your gospel is corrupted. There is no place of eternal torment called hell. Jude 7 tells us that everlasting fire is annhilation. The Lord's punishment will be final, but you will not be physically suffering. "Accepting" Christ guarantees you are NOT saved. Christ does 100% of the work, to save those He came to save. A witness points to the Bible, only Christ can save. The Lord Creates His own witnesses. Only the Lord's chosen witness have been given the Spirit of Truth.

@reynan, Always! Try John 1:13; 3:27; 15:5; Ez 26:24-27: Du 30:6; Heb 4:3, 4:9; Rom 9:15; Col 1:12-13; Ecc 3:14; Ps 62:1, Lam 3:26; Isa 48:11; Eph 1:4-5, 2:8-9; Matt 19: 25-26; II Tim 1:9-10. There are more. The point being, the Lord tread the winepress alone (Isa 63:3), He gets ALL the Glory. The Election, and payment for sin, was made before Creation. The work has been done for over 13,000 years now. The Lord decided who He would save, and who would be destroyed (Romans 9).

I beleive, the LORD decided that all SHOULD be saved. But, He knows who will accept and who will not before hand. regarding Election, God did not die on the cross only to hand pick a few people. The problem with us is that we have all, without exception, stopped loving God. It is not so much that we consciously choose to side with Satan as it is that we are all "slaves to sin". And as it was with most cultures throughout history, a slave cannot free himself, he must rely on another to do it for him. So muahsoprty you are right, God is not a thief. He is, however, a conquering hero who has charged into enemy territory and set free captives who all their lives were held in their sin.

I am interested enough to have looked up everything you've mentioned to try to find the most primary source of your claims. I love both history and science, and believe you do to, and that is why we are both having this discussion.
I only wish YOU would stop relying on what others have told you and look at the sources, too.
Furthermore, when two experience similar events, yet tell describe differently the 'truth' comes down to 'frame of reference' and 'independent confirmation'.

Isaiah 40:22 says the earth is a CIRCLE (Hebrew CHUWG).
(DURE is Old Hebrew for "sphere", but Isaiah used CHUWG)
Daniel 4:10-11a tree that is as tall as the heavens
can be seen from everywhere on the earth
Matthew 4:8 has Jesus viewing the whole earth from a tall mountain.
Revelation 1:7 says every eye will see Jesus coming in the clouds.
Daniel, Matthew, and Revelation all require a flat earth.
Well, either flat or bowl-shaped.

Isaiah 40:22 - according to Strong's Hebrew Dictionary and another Hebrew Dictionary (abbreviated BDB; I couldn't find the full name in my brief search) the Hebrew word "chug" is a circle, circuit, or compassive. Thus, it may not necessarily mean that it is referring to the shape of the earth, but the circuit, or orbit, or the Earth.
Daniel 4 is a vision seen by Nebuchadnezzar. A vision or dream, not reality.

Matthew 4:8 says that Satan showed Jesus the whole earth while he was on the mountain, not necessarily from the mountain. Once again, this is a supernatural vision context.
Revelation poses no problem on two accounts. One, an object approaching the earth from space can be seen by everyone on earth because of the rotation of the earth. Second, while there are notable exceptions, such an event would have tremendous media coverage, and all of the nations with television access will see it.

A preacher once told me that some think of Genesis chapter two as a clarification of one, while it is in truth a separate event. In Gen 1, God CREATED birds and fish, then Animals, then people. Gen 2:7 tells us God FORMED and blew BREATH into man first, then birds and such, then woman. Creation and formation and breath giving are separate events. God has His ways!! Actually I see it as a more specific layout of man from Chapter 1. There is no time or chronlogical order in chapter 2 that is done in chapter one. God made man in His image, He made him from dust. No contridiction- Made woman from a rib- no contridiction. No mention of order of creation in chapter 2- again no contridiction. Where chap 1 focuses on creation, 2 focuses on man.

Ch2 isn't retelling of Ch1, it expands it. To get to the meat of Ch 2 it recaps Ch1. Like a check-off list in your head doesn't have to be chronological. It doesn't mean that birds/beasts are same day and after man, but none were sufficient for him to not be alone. I hope this helps.
A question for you. How did the writers of Gen1 , with their limited scientific knowledge come up with creation events in same order as scientists accept today?

If your mind isn't closed, I suggest you read Hugh Ross' book, The Genesis Question. He's a PhD (astronomer) and uses real science and peer reviewed journals, etc. to explain more completely. It's not an easy read, but it's enlightening. ("Fingerprints of God" isn't too bad, either - but "Creator and the Cosmos" practically requires a PhD to understand the physics involved). Recommend "Genesis Question" most for this discussion, though.

Furthermore, you have it a tad backwards. Pharohs aren't religious leaders - they are gods; kings usurp the religon - and some Popes were corrupt. It doesn't make the Bible false, just as similar stories by varied cultures (if anything, it's independent confirmation of the events.)
