i love the way Eva sings this song. i have heard lots of different versions of it and it seems besides over the rainbow, people audittioning for american idol like to attemt this song. most of them dreadfully. but then i guess after you have heard Eva sing it, nothing can compare hey! she was and is magnifficent.

I've just discovered Eva today for the first time and I am simply amazed. The purity of her voice is so relaxing and peaceful. I did sadly read her bio and learned that she is no longer with us, so thank you for continuing to share her gift of music through these videos! I may have never found her otherwise. A new Eva Cassidy album entitled "Simply Eva" will be released at the end of January 2011. It is an acoustic album of Eva and her guitar. I have always been enchanted with a story Eva's mom, Barbara Cassidy, tells about Eva singing on the rooftop of the hotel where they were staying in Greece. A few minutes into Eva's impromptu concert, people of the village gathered in nearby windows to listen. This CD will give Eva's fans the opportunity to be on that rooftop.

It's nice of you to create this video for an Eva-song I had never heard. I finally read her biography a month or two ago... a mortal human being who gave us something timeless. In a few days I'll be seeing a show by Katie Melua in the town (Annapolis) that was Eva's stomping ground in her last years (K Melua being one of the artists that have been deeply inspired by Eva).
