@djdea12 technically, the infected in 28DL aren't dead, they are just infected with the "rage virus." This is a debate that will probably go on for years to come though lol, so I guess it's all a matter of opinion. But I will add that in the movie, they do acknowledge that it's a virus. It's a great movie, and for all intensive purposes it's a zombie movie, but when it comes down to technicalities (and with some people, it seems to) it's just an apocalyptic film, inspired by the z genre.

Well zombies are the dead coming to life, I dont enjoy that sort most of the time, I like infections because it makes it more realistic, But you do use the word zombie for i am legend and 28 days later because there basically the same so dont rule them out, i included all sorts in my list because there practically the same. And i am legend was an infection.

I love all the films and in hindsight I probably would change the order now but Dawn of the Dead 1978 is my favourite. Its got every thing I look for in a good zombie film. Tom Savini is a legend :D
