can you go anywhere in the game at any point in time you want? and is there side quests?

Yes there is free roam, you can go back to places you already visited

Not entirely true. You can't go out freely into the world, just fast travel between major locations.

Upon completing the game you cannot go back to any of these places, only DLC areas. (and thats not much, just a cheap gimmick to force people to buy DLC)

After completing the game? What would the point of roaming be after completing the game?

You are free to travel to anywhere in the game after you survive the first major darkspawn battle at the castle. You travel back and forth between cities, dungeons, and the wild areas.

@RydarGames Um, I have Awakening and I want to know if after completing the game, do you still get to talk to your party members? Like, I have a female Counsland and if she marries Alistair, will she still be able to talk to him and carry on the game as Queen or something?

@RydarGames I know I am late but I think they should have made it free roam after completion that was what the fallout series was lacking, until broken steel, and I am not going to compare this to Skyrim since that is relatively new, but is there a side quest feature (I as you can tell don't have the game but then again I will probably find out through your walkthrough) and it would be nice to see how your choices after completion affected the in game world.

hey im at the city of denerim doing the urn of sacred ashes, i found geneitivis house and then went into a room where weylon (the fake one) attacked me. i found the real weylon dead on the floor and i opened a chest to find some wierd amulet. now where do i go cus i dont know. i cant even leave the city or anything..

Same for me i killed him to you can leave the city but dont know hot to finish the quest the urn of sacred ashes.

i found out how you go to the exit of te city and you press y to go the ferelden map and then go to haven ;)

I actually didn't feel like being bother by those two at first with their problem. This game is a lot like Knights of the old republic, in alternate storyline, you can betray them to the head enchanter and do this mission completely different, but im trying to be a nice lady and a good friend lol

ive been wondering a lot if i should get this or not, bioware making amazing games and all... but i dont know, the trailer with marylin manson playing in the background turned me off bigtime, and the demo walkthrough with 100% hero grey wardens.. meh
