  • I have seen and heard a lot of people wanting to hook the ball alot or hook if differently, I say bowl Naturally because you'll be able to bowl better that way in my opinion. When you bowling Naturally everything should come naturally, Instead of having to think about how much you want to spin the ball, what angle of release you want on the ball, and what new mark to hit. This is all My OPINION

  • nice video

  • hmm i remember hearing somewhere that the white dot wasn't much if any better than a house ball...

  • Its a spare shooter or really dry lane ball. that's what its for. It's not meant to hook out the house.

  • Once again another awesome vid. I always wondered what differentiated the stroker from the cranker.

  • actually it is the amount of rpm's on the ball not the angle of rotation

  • Hmmm interesting. That makes sense.

  • ....if you dont have any angle on the ball, it wont have much, if any hook. angle of rotation will give it the movement it needs to go into the pocket.

  • true true but that was not the question, the question was the difference between a stroker and a cranker

  • the easiest answer i can probably give is angle of attack. strokers basically put a little bit of rotation on the ball but throw it straight and it gradually moves into the pocket. they are generally near the edge of the lane. crankers usually put alot of rotation and more angle/arc/hook on their ball.

  • # of revs on the ball and axis tilt

  • uuh no its both axis tilt, rotation, and rev all deal with hook axis tilt pretty much makes up where the ball hooks u can have 9000 rpm and no side rotation (axis tilt) and it will hook and set

  • Arnt the characteristics of a cranker a high backswing to get speed on the ball..? Thats what I do for the speed I rev it too much compared to my speed..

  • the angle of rotation determines how hard your ball is going to hit.

  • @ultravox557 ya but that was not the question the question is what is a cranker and by definition it is someone with a hell of a lot of revs on the ball, not ball speed not angle of rotation and definitely not arm swing. rpms determine between stroker tweener and cranker. simple shit

  • but the release determines if you are a cranker stroker or tweener.

  • also this ball here is not reactive so if there is more side revs it would hook more

  • well rpms are not the only thing taken into consideration. speed is a huge factor. a stroker is someone who doesnt put alot of revs on the ball and speeds can vary from slow to fast. a tweener is someone who has medium revs and a medium speed too fast and the ball wont hook too slow and it will overhook. a cranker is someone who throws the ball fast and has alot of revs. if a cranker had the revs he had and threw it as slow as a stroker he would make a seven pin or gutter speed is a large factor
