@MrTheYoussef He meant that you should not sit for tashahud after the second raka'ah. This is true according to one of the ways of praying salat al-witr, since there are a few slightly different ways to pray witr. For example if you watch this video, /watch?v=6zy-FQkPCCc (type that after youtube dot com.) it is how they pray witr in Masjid Al-Aqsa.
You can see that they sit down for tashahud twice, and this is acceptable from the sunnah and very common. I hope this helped, Allah knows best
The caller in the vid prayed according to the Hanafi school of though aka the Hanafi madhab. The 4 schools of thought all teach the correct way to pray according to the way the Prophet(PBUH) prayed. This video is a biography of the life of the founder of the hanafi school madhab. It explains the permissibility and reccomendation of following a school of thought as well : search Biography Of Imam Abu Hanifah (FULL LECTURE)
@ferneye Ok 1 thing that needs to be cleared up. There are thousands of hadith mentioning in detail different ways the prophet used to pray. The 4 popular and great imams explain this, & 95 % of the sunni muslim world follows their "madhabs." These 4 MADHABS are ALL CORRECT have been unanimously accepted and therefore you see some people's prayers may differ slightly. But the sheikh in the vid fails to mention that. So the caller in the vid is correct, she prayed according to the Hanafi way.
Good sheikh mashAllah.... Backing everything he's saying with evidence... Predictive text !!! For my previous message lol

Oops! If this is true, then I had done it all wrong (by sitting in the 2nd rakah) in my past life. :-(
I have another question, if anyone can answer: When to say the Qunut - before Ruku or after? References pls. :-)
BTW, what's the name of this Sheikh :-?
