  • OMG thank you so much! now I can make fondant. bi bi

  • hah karen zoom in. xD thanks for this video lol ive been trying to figure out how to do this.

  • you should grease your bowl before you melt the mm, and also sift the powdered sugar.

  • 3:01 hehehehehe u were upside-down

  • worked great! thank you so much!!

  • You suck

  • I didnt try it yet but it looks really easy thank you very much;)

  • Do the marshmallows have to be mini??

  • @PandaLove79 No, but it helps. You can also cut up big marshmallows

  • wow that looks so easy! Thank you for the video. Its really great for your first one. :)

  • Its better to but crisco on all you stuff even the bowl so it all comes out....

  • I just made this like 10 mins ago... the only thing that was a pain in the ass was getting it off my table. thanks for posting. :)

  • I don't have crisco what can I use as a substitute

  • @lopez212451 You might be able to use butter, but I would recommend getting crisco

  • why the table O.O ?!

  • How long will this keep in the fridge?

  • @AJCmommy2012 I'd say about a week or two. But if it stays in too long, it'll get too stiff and won't work well anymore.

  • this was a great video, pretty simple I've always thought fondant was so much harder to make. Thanks a bunches!

  • very, very good video!! :) Thank you for posting it! I've tried few times with other video's but I ended up throwing out the whole thing! :))

  • You can roll it out AND color it as you would regular fondant? ????? (=

  • confuse the materials

  • I make this offten and to add color get a gel color and add it when ur almost done . It works good for me

  • I'm going to try this next week! Great video, thanks for sharing!!!!

  • Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video! I really appreciate it!

  • when i made tried making fondant i was kneading it for ages and it wouldn't hold together. it was like a puddle of melted marshmallows. what do you think i did wrong?

  • @Pickleberrysisters it might not have enough powdered sugar?? That's the only thing I can think of maybe. lol hope it helps

  • @Pickleberrysisters cold/warm temperatures of your home plays a huge role as well. I had the same problem the first time I made it using this technique. My granite table was cold, but the weather outside was warm. The fondant would not form at all. It would keep melting. I added an additional 1 lb of casters sugar and it formed, but became really sweet. Ended up not using it.

  • thank you so much

  • wow it is really hot as soon as you get it out of the bowl

  • thank you

  • *marshmallows

  • Best video of fondant recipe!!! Thanks soooo much! Its easy and u explain so well! Thanks!

  • How long does it last? is there a time period where you have to use the fondant or can you store it in the fridge till you need it?

I'm new to fondant so im learning as much as I can . :3

  • @Malgal2066 I've discovered it lasts about a week or two in the fridge before it gets too stiff and doesn't work well anymore.

  • how do you add color? do you just add food color during a step?

  • hi..can i melt the marshmallows in the oven instead of the microwave?? i don't have a microwave as of yet :P

  • @rockmanticgurl I'm not sure. I've never tried, but i'm leaning towards no. but as i said you could always try and see what happens, sorry i couldn't help much lol

  • @rockmanticgurl You can melt them on the oven in a pot! Thats how i make rice crsipy. The marshmeelow seems to come out the same as it did in the microwave.

  • @rockmanticgurl yes you can i did it just keep and eye on it and it will work the some way

  • @rockmanticgurl yes, you can. Also on the stove. Just be sure to keep mixing it to keep it from burning

  • @rockmanticgurl You can actually, in a double boiler (like you would chocolate on the stove). I saw a tutorial where a russian woman who had no microwave did this and it worked out perfectly for her.

  • looks messy

  • Thnx

  • Thanks for the fast, easy recipe I'll definitely use it, can you just mix some of the powdered sugar and melted marshmallows in a bowl then knead? Or just knead them together?

  • thank you so much for this wonderful recipe! i just made it today and it was fast and simple! im 17 and never bake and even i could do this! also i did use margarine instead of crisco and it turned out great! :) thanks again

  • helpful vid! you should make more :)

  • @Luvcuppy: u really don't have to use cisco, u just have to have white marshmallow nd icing sugar :)

  • Can you use powder instead of cisco ?

  • Parchment paper would have allowed an easier clean up

  • does mm stand for marshmellow n wats a good subsitute???

  • Sorry, but for all us non-Us citizens: What is Crisco?

  • @formula1update crisco is vegetable shortening(:

  • @XxTaYlOrTeRRoRxX Thank you. Why the :(?

  • is it a hard mess to clean up

  • to make it colored can u just add food color?

  • What is crisco???

  • or skip all that crisco and use parchment paper... i mean, you could probably just throw the marshmellows on top of parchment on a circular platter to microwave it, then just go with the powdered sugar. you shouldn't lose any volume that way

  • @TheBoredNerd yea i see that but which ones easier to by???????? understand

  • Is it okay to use foil instead of that plastic wrap?

  • Can yuo use marshmellow creme?

  • If you want to add coloring, when do you add it?

  • DO NOT PUT IT ON THE FRIDGE!!!!! *** DO NOT ***

  • thank you so much! can't wait to make it

  • I was Wondern if i can you giant marshmallows instead of small ones ??

  • loved it, it was really clear, great job!!!!!

  • slop.

  • how many cups of confectioner sugar? and how many cups or marshmellows?

  • @pinkiibear4 2 lbs of powered sugar, 1 16oz. bag of marshmallows.

  • @beliver259 well, you could put food coloring in the fondant so it would change color. :) hope it helps

  • It's MashmAllows not Mellows

  • thank u soooooooooooooooooo sooooooooooooooooooo much i hav 2 make 5 cakes 4 school i will use this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;]

  • Hi(: i love this, but can you substitute cisco to butter? Thaankyoouuu(:!

  • @karimechimal I'm not sure, I've never tried. It's only to keep the marshmellows off the table and hands. i've even done it before with out the crisco when i didn't have any, just added a ton of powdered sugar and was trying my hardest to keep it from the table using the sugar.

  • @karimechimal use flour..

  • very nice , THank you for tell me how to make fondant ...

  • @almonds13- Can I use butter instead of Crisco?

  • A tip for those who dont think things out thuroughly, to clean the table just use dish soap, i never thought about ti and i spent over an hour cleaning the crisco off the table then my mom looks at me and says "You coulda just used the dish soap" i was so embarrassed lol thanks for this recipe :D

  • what is crisco???

  • @TYPICALTRICIA butter

  • i'm from italy.. i really want to make this..can you please tell me what CRUSCO is? thank you!!!

  • Umm...iwas just wondering, can you put food color in it? if you do, when do you put it in: while the marsh mellow are melting, or when you're mixing the marshmallow and the powder sugar?

  • @xXKIRAxXxX you can do either. I like to put it in while the marshmellows are melting . It's easier than trying to make it perfect and kneading it in after it's made.

  • @almonds13 ok, but how do you roll it out afterwards, b/c when i tried it, it keeps sticking onto the table and the roller.

  • Wowwwwww I think I know what her favorite ingredient is...........CRISCO!!!!!!!!!

  • crisco is terrible for your health, its the worst fat you could use

  • Thnx... I never thought it would have been so simple to make.

  • Looks very sticky and gooey and messy

  • You should have covered the mixing bowl and spatula in Crisco as well... that's why you got such a small ball of fondant. You wasted a lot of the marsh mellow that was stuck in the bowl and on the spatula.

  • wouldnt it just be easier to use an electric mixing bowl...

  • Can u use bigger kosher marshmallows???

  • Thanks very much!! It was super helpful!

  • cant you just mix it all together in a bowl instead of doing that on the table?

  • what is crisco though? i dont think we have that here in Singapore.

  • @XOXOXOKimberlyMeagan Or New Zealand...

  • @XOXOXOKimberlyMeagan Cisco is solid vegetable fat like lard. However you cant use lard because it is a solid animal fat and that taste will come out in your frosting....You don't want your frosting to have a bacon after taste you know..:)))...hope that helps...

  • @sugartowncakes most definitely. i actually managed to find Crisco!

  • Does anyone know if icing sugar is the same as powder sugar? Plz help

  • @P0k3m0nNUB It is slightly different as icing sugar has cornstarch in it

  • @P0k3m0nNUB I second that motion coz we don't get Confectioners sugar where I'm from..

  • what if you want colored fondant and what do you use to color it??

  • @noodletech30 you just add some food colouring.

  • how can i put color on it?

  • or you can get marshmellow cream BOOM done

  • @TheDestroya100 can you really use marshmallow creme or are you being sarcastic

  • @c0us1nit you can it will speed up the prosses of microwaveing the marshmallows

  • @TheDestroya100 Thanks !
