  • I just bought a stock 2009 Unlimited and it lives in the city but will be doing VERY long road trips in central Australia as well [off road], a couple of times a year.. Not sure what I should do with it (small trailer?, buy a full set of extra tyres and rims when touring?), So many options not sure which to choose. Have decided on a snorkel; Lights seem good. Jerry cans [fuel, water] Have a radio, satellite 'phone, Will need two spare wheels so I suppose I should get a carrier? What else?

  • did i see lockers in this video cause last time only one wheel would spin and at 3:42 i saw both front wheels spinning

  • Great video and the jeep looks good too!!

  • I swear the first time you tried going up that hill "stock" you werent in 4WD...

  • @Rmb2010CoD Your right, the very first try was 2wd. The middle trys were 4wd hi. And the final try on the first run was 4Lo

  • I love that tire and wheel combo! Looks amazing on the jeep!

  • you need to lower your PSI when you go off roadin. looks like you still have 32 PSi in the tires when you went over the rocks. Go to 20 and you will see a huge diff. and the reason there was rub is because you need 1.5 inch spacers when you go to 35's i did 35's and a 3 inch lift on my JK and no rub with wheel spacers.

  • @deltaneo1 It looks better, and is stronger when you simply upgrade the rims with 35's that have a stronger offset. And near the end of the video, going over the rocks, the PSI on the tires were down to 18. But thanks for the advice.

  • did u even disconnect the sway bar because i had a stock sahara like you and i easily made it over that but i did what you did i lifted it haha

  • pennsylvania?

  • @hobojo898 Yes.

  • Nice flex!

Why not MT or all terrain tires?

    Yours looks not VERY angry=)

and whats name of the song?

  • @Fraza90 These tires were all terrains, and performed better then most Mt's and AT's at the time.

The song is Fuel by Metallica

  • does it have Limited slip in the front and back? at one point i saw both front tires spin, on the ground...

  • @kyleky07 Sometimes, that is luck of the draw. At the point this video was made, there were NO upgrades to the diffs. But it is a Jeep, and axles made by Dana.... and in low range, they were doing their job beautifully.

  • how much did all the upgrades cost you in the end?

  • @JXRUSHX1991 The lift, rims, tires, fenders, protection and the minor stuff ran close to about 3500 in parts, give or take. The labor is different depending on where you go. Overall, it was a pretty reasonable build. The Jeep was the Dual top edition, so there was no extra charge for the soft top.

Look for my next project coming soon! A different Jeep, and a fresh build!

  • little baby jeep takes it's ROIDS!!!! love it.

  • just a question why would u buy a sahara if u r going to replace the fenders?

why not buy an X cheaper or a rubi? just a question. but it looks good!!! congrats

  • @Sink30 Well, the X and Rubicon were not availible in this color, nor instock. Besides, the Sahara also has the Navi system, which she wanted.

  • where is phsae 2? lol

  • @Sink30 The owner of the Jeep and I are no longer friends. She has done more since then, however, she does not have a youtube channel. Sorry. Look for more videos of my next new toy comming soon though.

  • @junior3382

    i cant wait

  • Would have made it easily stock if it had lockers (aka rubicon).

  • Great job! I like the unbiased (aka no bullshit) before and after comparison through video. Definitely a beast after the conversion.

  • very nice. looks great before and after. Jeep all the way. now let's see the F250 do it!!! haha.

  • when you put the bigger tires on there did you mod the suspension or anything. if not how much did the tires rub if any

  • never mind i didnt watch the entire thing. my question was answered literally 3 seconds after i posted my other coment

  • You could have made it up the first time if you had disconnected the sway bar ;)

  • how much does it cost? an excellent work congrats

  • where is PHASE 2!

lol i have been waiting lol :P

  • 4:28 really nice finished project

  • awesome vid and jeep!

    keep updating ur build

  • did you put lockers on it, cause i noticed it looked like 3:45 both wheels were sipnning instead of the one with the least traction, verses at the begining when the drivers side was spinning and the passengers side was doing nothing

  • NO. I noticed that too. I think that was just a lucky shot at the time...LOL.... good eye though.

  • ROCK SLIDERS!!! I have a stage 2 JK and wheel the heck out of it. I cant stress enough about rock sliders!!!

  • Nice, I just picked up an 09 JK X last night... video gives me some ideas...

  • As i mentioned to the guy below.... if you need any help of any kind, parts, I deas, costs or whatever, do not be afraid to email me... I will help best I can! lol

  • Yea, I'm stationed up in alaska so a jeep is an awesome vehicle to have. I used to have a 79 CJ7 but it was setup for mud. I'm just gunna set the JK up for some trail use and daily driving.

  • did you get the 2 door or 4 door JK?

  • 2 door... like $7k less plus then I couldn't deny rides on the basis of not having enough room :P

  • Awesome video!

    Also I have a Wrangler Sahara 09.

It gives me an idea that how I upgrade my truck!!

    Keep in touch~

  • best part is that this was not all that expensive! Lol... i mean compared to like the cost of the lift on my F250...lol...

If you want or need any type of advice or direction, do not hesitate to email me... I will help as much as I can.
