i have to lol as i am wondering whether you mean everything you say? ahmad zahir was a legend, farhad darya is still loved by many persian music lovers, sareban and nashenas were absolutely great in their times, then you have singers of today like tawab, bashir, and speially shafiq mureed who made it so big in just one year that he has been sponsored by afghan music companies in usa to sing for them.

even if you search up about shabnam you can see that she got famous because of afghan songs and afghan singers and she herself admitted afghan music has helped her alot to her fame and she is right! a good singer doesnt mean just sing in tune only but also making good music and write good lyrics. i agree shabnam has a great voice and is very much in tune but which super hit song did she write herself? which song did she sang herself which became very famous plus her own lyrics?

and no we afghans dont welcome any jerk but those jerks themselves start making stupid music and we cant do anything but ignore them. i have family in usa and on 13 feb valy will give a concert and on 14 feb shabnam and although all those people out there already have been to concert of valy yet they decided to go valys concert again instead of shabnam. and this proves the fame of afghan singers and hers. there are enough talented afghan singers and shabnam comes nowhere near them. trust me
