@sweetok97 1. build your relationship with him. If he uses the dog to attack, then you need to pay him more money. If he uses his other attacks, then your doing something right.

2. never pay him less than 10,000

3. Pay him a big portion of your money every time you use him

4. (And a very important rule to follow) you need to pay him more money than you paid him last turn

If you can get Yojimbo to like you a lot, he'll use Zanmato almost every single time.

Takes a lot of money though.

You can actually get "rep" with Yojimbo by paying him a lot through the game and eventually you can get so much "rep" that you can pay him 1 gil and he'll do Zanmato.

In the international version of Final Fantasy or the PAL version getting a Zanmoto would be that easy. Easy as cake.

The North American version and Original Japanese version it's a lot harder to get a Zanmoto. Even at 255 yojimbo compatibility(which is the absolute max your compatibility with yojimbo can be) It would still be somewhat difficult to score a Zanmoto. You would need to at least pay between 1024-2048 and a bit of luck.

With 255 compatibility and 1 gill you would have 255 compatibility with 0 yojimbo motivation.

Motivation = gill amount multiplied by compatibility.

In the international version of Final Fantasy 10 i hear people who have gotten 8 Zanmotos in a row and just wipe out the Dark Aeons like toys. Freaky stuff!

@ThePizzamaniac Just run outside the place and fight until yuna learns the "holy" spell. By then the other characters that you are using will be tougher too. Auron is a damage pimp, and yunas holy spell hits yunaleska for 9999 as well.
