i know where your coming from arvvaz but i too am a musician and have recorded a few albums played concerts etc... and for people to actually want to listen to me and my friends doing what we love is the greatest feeling in the world .... there will always be enough people buying music for the reasons you gave that artists will survive especially now lots of people have the technology to record themselves and produce it

@belgarion376 Yeah i put out a record on the internet a while ago and i love that people download and listen to it and hopefully love it. Internet can sometimes be a wonderful thing. But i would love to be able to work with music fulltime, because i feel it is the most important thing in my life and what i should be doing with the time that i have been given.

i can't believe some of the people commenting here. Music should be free? Rachel Cantau put a lot of effort and hard work into this song so you can hear it. She needs to have somewhere to live and food on the table like everyone else. I pay a lot of money to record and put out my own songs and having to give them away for nothing makes life hard for me, so i know. Face it people, if you don't pay for the music, there soon won't be any artists left, because we can't live off our songs.

Coz being an artist is sharing with people, emotions, passion, imagination, artism, technique etc... and honestly listening to that song I can't feel any effort, any struggle which you've mentioned. it's sad that we live in the world where everything's mesured with and by money. But real artist and their recipients will always be. In music as in painting, sculpture or literature... the real art will survive:) as it's survived the ages)

i guess i dint explain myself well.. i agree with you.. dont worry but i was annoyed how saying that buying one song for 1 dollar is cheap... i dont believe it is cheap and i reched this conclusion by comparing the prices and the many things people buy with one dollar just to sustain themselves..
