  • great song

  • Without this song there wouldn't have been Dylan's Subterranean Homesick Blues. If you care to really listen to the cadence of Chuck's singing, you'll see Dylan's song owes everything to this. It's just so obvious. If Dylan never admitted as much, he should have.

  • @JeffRebornNow He already has.

  • CHUCK BERRY : THE MAN IS THE BUSINESS !!!! Colin Dale Radio Sutch

  • One of my dads favs and will be one of my sons. long live the king

  • THE FIRST ROCK N ROLL RAP''

  • @funkberto And it's good too. Rap rock is actually terrible, but this song, Subterranean Homesick Blues by Bob Dylan and Jefferson Airplane's Plastic Fantastic Lover introduce the idea without being so.

  • @GuyWithNoName67 totally agree, my brother

  • @GuyWithNoName67 and dont forget "FRANK ZAPPA'S (Mothers Of Invention) "TROUBLE EVERYDAY" other Rap-Rock classic.

  • Thx for all the comments, rates etc on this video guys. Thank you

  • Esta esta un poco más dinámica

  • and after bob dylan heard this song Subterranean Homesick Blues was born.

  • @ECHOES2131 to be fair SHB has a different bass riff which is what actually makes the song. so although vocally it is like this song id actually say musically its similar but varies.

  • Chuck Berry is so goddamn awesome!

  • The first rap recording

  • i love the beatles version of this song

  • @TheBleach123456789 I can't believe I never heard this song until I got the BBC album the other day. I love John's bouncy version too.So many versions of this cool song! (And I just listened to all of them LOL)

  • i have listened to a lot of different versions of this.. and i said Chuck and elvis did the best job @ it.

  • Little Richard was better.

  • good, but all his songs sound the same, sadly

  • agreed, i'm 12, and my daughter and i love chuck!

  • @GlitchTelevision wait your 12 and have a daughter?!?!??!

  • @SerbSkiLLz00 lol i was joking! it was making fun of young people who "have" to state their age when they say they like old music.

  • Kids today have NO IDEA what this genius is saying...poor things.Thank GOD I grew up with this kind of music!!

  • @60Macushla EYEYEY, im 14 and i love this music ¬¬ im glad my parent grew up with this music xD

  • @tdudelovespeople Keep supporting the real old school rock n roll

  • @tdudelovespeople Your parents didn't grow up on this unless they're about 70 now...this song came out in the mid fifties. Either way, your point is well made.

Chuck is timeless as well as many other great musicians. As someone a decade older than you, I can relate bc I find time is not a barrier to my musical explorations. At 24, I haven't slowed up a bit in my continuous search for good music listening. I ask of you to do the same and never let anyone tell you different!

  • @brianbf8 yeah im not atm BUT i will be one of the best blues bass players there is.....ooor .... will be xD

  • @60Macushla Agreed. Im 16 and kids at school ask what you listen to i say Chuck Berry. They say WTF IS THAT? *laughs*

  • A true genius. Nobody could write stuff like this..... then or now!

  • Man, I love Chuck Berry. His lyrics are great, his well crafted music and guitar playing, and of course his GREAT voice - I thank him for all those treasures!

  • @Speakingstone01 Agreed, Chuck owns

  • Man i love this song! <3
