  • @StanEvalio :) There is no full beginning... will look for better version...

  • nice vibrato!

  • wunderschön!

  • Brings tears to the eyes - Mr. Maisky is a true master of the cello.

    Thanks!

  • @StradMan37 he is

  • @callenishss Absolutely wild about his Schubert CD, with piano accompaniment. He is SO soulful and emotional that he seems to squeeze every last drop of emotion from his instrument. There's no one like him!!!

  • @StradMan37 yea

do u like rostropovich, from before

  • @callenishss Love him! I've got a CD of his, wherein he plays THEE most gorgeous concerto, by CPE Bach, with an adagio mvt which just takes my breath away!

    Exquisite cellist!!!

The CD is from Teldec, & he plays with The St Paul Chamber Orch. Also Vivaldi's Conc in D minor (RV406 - on "RachelPortman" channel) & Tartini's Conc in D major - not posted here.

  • @StradMan37 i see

i have the same enthusiasm for martha argerich

    but maisky is good too

  • @callenishss From before WHAT???

  • @StradMan37 from before because he is not alive now

  • @callenishss Oh, OK - yes, I recall him, from the final 3 decades of his life (he died rather recently, in '07). I especially love to listen to his "Bach Cello Suites" (1995, EMI), and the "Beethoven Triple Concerto" - with Richter, David Oistrakh, Karajan, and the Berlin Phil (EMI). Highly recommended! All of Beethoven's passion and power come through, in the entire concerto! Can't stand the "Brahms Dbl Conc" (on the same CD - not a Brahms fan).

  • @StradMan37 yea

  • masterpiece
