  • Honestly he deserves his ass kicked for showing off like that - do that at boxing, but not at any budo art.

  • Pov petit japonais....

  • shame shame

  • completely agree with @bayaralex. Teddy Riner complete forgot what it meant to be a judoka--i hope he may be humbled sometimes soon. crazy match, 5/5

  • i respect Kamikawa more then Riner

  • Do not criticise any other martial arts or speak ill of others, as it will surely come back to you. The mountain does not laugh at the river because it is lowly, nor does the river speak ill of the mountain because it cannot move. Koichi Tohei

  • @Screenfreezer All very well and good but when someone conducts themselves poorly, as the winner of this contest, he deserves criticism. Winners and losers should conduct themselves with decorum.

  • Showing the "0" relates to a past competition, where a japanese team stole the match. Observers were also japanese and they just stole the competition, giving free win to japan and when Teddy was supposed to win, they didn't give any "point" to him.

He has his revenge, he is alright.

    Good job Teddy !

  • I've seen plenty of judoka get excited and celevrate after a win. Teddy is being criticize because he is black. And all the japanese people on this post are just mad because a non japanese person can do judo better than them.

  • Stop commenting about Riner. It's not as though he was screaming at his opponent's face when he won like what other competitors in the past have done.Even Bolt was hysterical over his win, pointing at his timing, doing his signature move, whatever.Besides, this competition was held in Paris, his country. He has fans, he has supporters and obviously he wants his countrymen to be proud and happy for him. Can't you just give him a break? When you win one day, you'll know how difficult it is to control.

  • First of all, Riner's attitude sucks, it's really disrepectful and it's not the example he should give to all young Judokas about the world, he needs to be humble. Japanese people are very corteous and also very respectful whether it's victory or is a defeat. Congratulation Riner for the Victory, but for me, You're a loser with that attitude, a real Judoka is because the Behavior, not only the competition

  • The worst waza-ari decision on youtube? I didn’t realise dragging somebody who’d fallen on their side slowly onto their back was enough for such a score!

  • Ok all of you retards who are hating on Teddy for not showing respect and being a disgrace to Judo, are simply... retarded. You're telling him he's a disgrace and non-respectful, well guess what so are you. You guys are fucking wasting energy on hate which is basically disgracing your own philosophy in the process. Get over yourself, you're being hypocrites... therefore once again, you guys are fucking retarded so review yourselves before hating on the guy.

  • @Paulkid Sooo ignoring the vid, and according to your logic, we should let anyone continue doing whatever wrongful action they want? Because pointing out that someone is being disrespectful is somehow wrong and hypocritical? Maybe you're talking about how people say it, like sending insults back at him, but in general there shouldn't be anything wrong with asking for some decency. And btw you're contradicting your own lesson by calling everyone retards haha

  • @akajambas actually im not following the judo way, but I studied it and know very well its values. I think Teddy is doing the same. And yes, I personally think that if you worked so hard to become the best, you earned your arrogance. It only looks shitty for most people that didnt do shit and are arrogant

  • @Paulkid Arrogance is never I repeat never a good quality to have regardless of your skill level. Those who are masterful yet humble earn and deserve the utmost respect versus someone who is talented and has so much pride that they think that everyone is lesser than them as a person. In my opinion you have a much more powerful presence when you're not boasting to everyone that you're undoubtedly number 1.

  • @akajambas well he was boasting, he was certainly playful about it and took it like competition. Welcome to the animal world, alpha male has spoken.

  • Riner is just power no technique

  • @therealjudogod if it works find a technique to defeat it, that is the purpose of judo, right?

  • He is not French. He is black. French people are white. WTF?

  • @brianspost75 did you ever hear of colonialism? french colonies in africa, thats why there are many african people still living in france. Just need to watch football or something, french are always quite colourful^^

  • teddy is stupid , he not respect Kamikawa. And his technique is a shit.

  • Riner has to be the most boring champion ever. Where are the throws? All I saw was a lot of strength and no skill. And then the bravado.....

  • I don't see Riner's actions as disgraceful. He was clearly exuberant and thrilled with his dominant performance of the strangely more passive than usual Kamikawa.Kamikawa is usually far more aggressive than this but I think that Kamikawa was off his game today and Riner was amped for the fight.Riner bowed to his opponent, showed respect, but he was also amped as this was a revenge match. Kamikawa beat Riner before so Riner really wanted it and took it and dominated as he should.

  • betr none of these clowns could bench 400lbs

  • hey fuck face nazi Butler wanna be how can blame a race on one person mistake and I bet if u were there with u wouldn't have the balls to say dat fucking prick! !

  • But then I just did some reading concerning their first bout in 2010 in Tokyo. Apparently a lot of people felt that Riner convincingly should have won on points and due to Japanese bias with the local judges it was passed over in Daiki's favour....... in either scenario Riner behaved badly but I can understand keeping in context living such a competitiveness lifestyle that losing in such a way much feel catastrophic.

  • Judo is a sport, a sport cannot thrive if there is not fan participation and getting the crowd involved is one thing. However with Riner gloating in such a fashion by pointing to the score board, keeping in context that he has lost to the other judoka before is very childish. I highly doubt that Daiki behaved in such a way when he beat Riner before, such a public display can cause people of great pride to quit a sport, and the Japanese are fiercely prideful, and rightly so.

  • Riner needs to learn respect ! what a total dickhead i guess thats the black in him right ?

  • @29thHitler hey get out of here if you're going to be a racist bastard. i don't like you. we all make mistakes but it's not because of his skin color.

  • Riner = faggot

  • what a giant ass...

  • what is the japaniese guy doing ????

  • Very Disrespectful indeed! Riner is forgetting one of Professor Kano thesis "Mutual Respect and Welfare" Shame on the French for encouraging this type of behavior!!

  • im 19.. and i wouldnt dream of ever disrespecting my opponent like Riner did kamikawa.

  • Wow are you guys on here really serious?? What was SOO disgraceful about his actions? Riner is a French fighter fighting in France in this clip; It was all love for his people! Right? I really think a lot of you are exaggerating here

  • teddy lost vs suzuki... fucking referees.... he just blocked like a cat all the falls :)

and teddy... you scored 0 also vs Suzuki moron

  • teddy lost vs suzuki... fucking referees.... he just blocked like a cat all the falls :)

  • The best TEDDY BRAVO

  • Teddy made a breathtaking demonstration yesterday. 5th world champion title.

  • I'm Japanese. If Teddy did the same inappropriate actions in Japan, he would be severely criticized or in the worst case, expelled from Japanese judo world for a long time. I think he is the strongest judo-ka in the world now, but, I'm disappointed with him…

  • @kensan0809 Your just mad because a non-japanes can do judo just as well as a japanese person. If he was japanse and was boasting you wouldn't be saying anything. And i've seen plenty of Japanese judoka get excited after winning.

  • @Rayman77792 I might become emotional a little bit, but, his behavior went too far. I'm certain If he was Japanese and was boasting like this, he'd be very accused of it by most Japanese and next morning newspaper would be full of the accusation as if his win were forgotten. I can guarantee that, because our culture basically puts demeanor before the result, especially in martial arts like judo, kendo, sumo etc.

  • @kensan0809 Maybe thats true, but you have to remeber he won in front of his home crowd. Anyone would be emotional after that. Like I said before i've videos of japanese judoka celebrating after a win and no one criticizes or posts racial/ derogatory slurs at them.

  • @Rayman77792 I'm criticizing his big joy in front of his home crowd, even Japanese judokas often do the same too. The point I'm criticizing is he didn't show any respect to the loser at all pointing his finger to his 0 mark on the score board. In Japan showing respect to a loser in martial arts far outweighs the result. I think this came from bushi-do-seishin (samurai spirit). I have to say his behavior went against this spirit. I hope he learns the spirit to be a good model for judo kids.

  • @kensan0809 If you say so.

  • @kensan0809 fuck off, BLACK POWER!!!

  • @justplainly Don't be a racist fool. The only black power is a black belt in Judo

  • f***ing Teddy...I'm french and I'm a blue belt in Judo and I absolutely hate this stupid guy...Why are people actually applauding? He's just a disgrace to judo...Shame on Teddy...

  • Riner is just a child spoiled by his coaches who did not teach him anything not only about Budo spirit and manner but also normal manner as a person (neither his coaches knew anything about it?!). He grew up this way. Maybe he will notice his own ugly attitude one day by himself. Personally I would like to recommend him as a pro-wrestler in USA or Japan in order to learn better and improve his show performance. Antonio Inoki and Hulk Hogan could be his great Sensei.....

  • monkey as usual.... not really civilized yet...

  • @jetttomaing haha try to say that at teddy riner. I'm pretty sure you gonna shout like a monkey XD. And he is just a man who can't sometimes control himself. Don't brig your racism here because you are the real monkey to think that he isn't civized.

  • @TheDwayne972 LOL i bet you black! only black ppl do stupid things... hes probably just like you... disrespecful

  • @jetttomaing ^^ you're right and guess what i bet you are a racist ! Same as you disrespectful to say such stupid things especially when you talk about a fifth times champion !

And i saw your video, you must LOVE black people to listen R'n'B FAILLLLLL hahaha

  • riner is bringing judo to MMA, i hate such reactions when judokas wins....

i really hated what i've seen from the athletes in the olympia games... compare it with the games of the 70 and before.....

    that's sad

  • this looks like when children fights !!!

  • This is a really horrible demonstration of sportsmanship, gamesmanship, and Judo. This is not what Judo is about, and as a figure for kids to look up to within France and the Judo world, he should be ashamed of himself and his actions.

  • Teddy Riner's actions are absolutely disgraceful

  • @winoguitaro

    No rage.

  • All poeple should admit that Riner is strongest judoka in 100kg. All people know the reason by this video. Riner's judo is clever. He NEVER let his opponets be out of hand once he graps ones back, and he also do sutemiwaza like sumi-otoshi, not only harai-goshi.

  • if one of you guys make judo, in which weight category do you fight?

  • Not what I would have done, but not all that disrespectful either. He didn't hold up the bow or the ref awarding the match. Judo could use a little more individuality, maybe a good rivalry or two as well. Riner is still very young and I, for one, hope to see him in many many matches in the comming years.

  • 2:23 - I'm at the top, with a Rolling Stones t-shirt!

I think this reaction really was too much, even if I'm french and a great fan of Teddy.

  • So arrogant.

  • Rinner, this monster! 2,01 meter for 120kg.. The french Chuck Norris! lol

  • @mikey4u1984, Yes we are all the same good fighters, good lovers without cheating or doping... see you when you will have balls and brain RACIST SUCKER

  • Ah ok! You certainly have the spirit judoka with comments as racist on nationality and color of an athlete? Have the desire and the will to win does not make you a disrespectful of your opponent. The Japanese are not free to disregard their opponent remember Pearl Harbor! Try to be smarter next time.

  • What a disgrace.

  • I believe it is more important to fight against referee cheating such as what happened in their last fight than focus on what seems to be an Usain Bolt reference... I do not see the problem here.

  • I'm French and I can understand that some people can think he doesn't have the "judo spirit". I would like to see him more respectful too. After all, it's just sport and respect is a big part of the judo's philosophy.

It's not because he has the same nationality than me that I'm gonna be more tolerant about his behavior...it's judo, not boxing.

    Well done though Teddy.

  • Guys it's obvious that some of yours don't know Riner. If only you could speak french, you would see how nice & kind is that big guy ! He shows his emotion but he is fairplay. Sure, he is very willing to win, hates to loose and and hates injustice. The last World Championship in Japan (I live in Tokyo i was there) was a big injustice when he lost in final of All Categories against the very same Japanese judoka, Today with an Ippon he proved he was right to complain against an obvious cheating.

  • @edefournas, I watched the match of Riner vs Kamikawa at the World championship in Japan, I honestly don't think that was a injustice. Scores of judo matches almost always depend on the refs, and many times it's subjective/unfair but that's what it is, judokas just have to go with it and follow the refs' judges just like many other sports. Riner's response and behavior after his loss there was embarrassing, childish and again disappointing. Watch Shinohara vs. Douillet's Final @ 2000 Olympics.

  • Riner is a good judoka but like many people say here, he just does not have sophisticated, real judo spirit, which is VERY disappointing.

I have also found many judokas don't even seem to know how to bow at the beginning and the end of the match, which is also VERY sad. Winning or losing but still being able to respect the opponent is a true judoka...

  • Riner is the champion. But respect to one's opponent first, showboating after.

  • Riner is the man to be beaten, but he has certainly BAD MANNERS, NO FAIRPLAY and CHILDISH BEHAVIOUR. Shame! No judoka spirit...

  • @ortizunderdog Not so long ago Joao Pino from Portugal had his medal taken away for taking his gi jacket off and waving over his head to celebrate his win. IJF decided that it was against spirit of judo. What about Teddy?!

Did he keep gold because it happened in the front of his crowd?!

  • @piotrzawadzki I'm french, judo passionated ! I don't remember if it was a Portuguese, but I went at the Paris tournament few years ago, and I remember about it. It was really different than Teddy's doing in the video ... He had taken his gi jacket off and threw it, jumping everywhere ... and before the bow ! Here Teddy only ask at the people to applaud him. If you go to this tournament, you would see that a lot of winners do the same.

    Congratulations to the fighters !
