@massagegoddess I went through a similar situation. I wasn't ready for it so I gained most of the weight back but with age comes maturity so I am getting back up on that horse and I am going to lose the weight again lol. I love your videos they are so inspiring!!!

The golden thing for women who come into adulthood larger, they see the real in the "male Population as well as society in general" I can say this, Thank God I was a bigger girl because I would have probably ended up like some women Pregnant at an early age like my mother. But since I was bigger I didnt get the attention as much and I had nothing to worry about. My Surgery is May 12th 09, Yahoooo My fiance just had his monday!!!! Videos are posted!!! hahaha!! i remember a few years back when i lost about 100lbs...it was a different world! now the thing i hate though is from the car you only see shoulders up and id get out of the car the guys see im chunky and are no longer interested. =o( boo!

LMAO you are so funny! I was thinking the same thing. Like when my hair is down and rockin' nice sunglasses in the car I get some attention. So if I can get "some" attention at my heaviest weight, how much attention am I going to get 100lbs down? I mean a gorgeous friend of mine was like stalked by this stranger at the mall the other day. I NEVER have to worry about that kind of stuff haha. I also just wonder how much my ego will blow up. I'm a little worried.

Is the difference really that drastic? I posted on one of your other videos about getting the surgery and losing 80 pounds. I still have a long way to go until I get to my goal but... I've never had a real boyfriend, i'm nineteen. I'm kind of nervous around guys. Knowing they act so different is kind of scary...

lol i would get pissed i know this world is very judgemental.. but if i started getting male attention now, i would get pissed, and show them a fat picture of me (when i'm thinner of course lol) and say, "would you date this girl?" see what they're answer would be.. i'm glad i'm taken too. it's nice to know my man loves me for who i am lol. but i still can't wait to get the surgery lol

Oddly enough, i've experience the same attention from women.  I don't know how to react my self, and i am gratful to already be married to a wonderfull carring lady. Who says all men are pigs, lol.

It may be hard, but there is one guy out there who will love you as you are. My hubby loved me when he met me at 260 pounds, he loved me still when I wnet up to 305. And he is ahppy about how healthy I am now.

Oooh! I had a question too.. How have your scars healed? Did they fade a lot? I have been reading a lot lately on OH about younger people having less problems with things like scarring and toning and excess skin than older post-ops. If you don't mind sharing, how are things doing for you in that arena?

The scars are pink, they are flat and smooth. I hardly notice them. I am actually kinda proud of them. They are my battle scars. As for excess skin I have started to get some my arms are toned but a little extra skin is under them and it is heavily stretch marked, my spare tire is pretty squishy,but is very easily camoflaged with clothes, in water aerobics when we jog I swear my belly button is gonna hit my forehead! Otherwise I think I am looking pretty good. I am so brutally honest LOL

Every time I watch your videos, I feel more sure that one day I will actually get the surgery. You are real and honest and still positive. I started watching last fall & decided that I was going to watch all the way through, because I identify with your personality a lot.

Just wanted to post real quick and say thank you for keeping a great video record of your transformation. Your honest first hand acccount has kept me from completely abandoning the idea of surgery.

Aww.. you make me wanna cry. I am so proud and happy to hear that. My goal all along is to share a positive experience with Gastric Bypass, I don't have to lie or sugar coat it, just show what it is like and how it is so worth it. I am glad you are holding onto the dream because the desire never goes away completely... I held this dream for at least 4 years before I had the courage to follow through, I wish I had done it sooner, but I would not trade anything for the experience I have had here..

my cousin and sis-in-law got the same thing after surgery. one let it go to her head, the other feels more like what I think I wouls feel...a bit bitter. it would be hard to be angry over sweet compliments, but the fat girl inside will always ask why not as much before..if that makes sense.
