You've got to be kidding me! This is TOO good to be true! I just finished listening to Canada's own Ken Tobias and his huge smash(in my opinion), I Just Wanna Make Music, when I saw this title and said to myself, "this can't be Chester"? What a great back to back pair of beauties! Thank you thank you a million times THANK YOU! Canadian musicians ruled the 70s and 80s. It was the musical wannabes from US Billboard and TopTen that were too blind to see and too stupid to listen!
there was a canadian after school show in the 80s called "Do it For Yourself" with Mary Bellows and her two dogs Zeke and Hoover. I believe this was the theme song
First heard this live in Oshawa at the Autopub. That was in May of 1973. Met a girl that night...Ellen D. Have never forgot her even after all these years. An incredible girl that I would have loved to have gotten to know better. Unfortunately though we lived several thousand miles apart. Thanks for the memories..YouTube
I know the drummer from the band Chester, Percy Kinney, who is a terrific drummer and musician...all round descent fella. He's still drumming and enjoying music!!!
Should have been a smash stateside. Had I been a bit older in the summer of '73, I could picture myself strolling down the street with this song in my head.
Love Norman Rockwell's talent & love this tune!! They blend together so well!

Reminds me of roller skating at The Terrace.
Great friends, great times and carefree youthful hopes & dreams.
Still sounds just as sweet.
