@JacobPaige : actually I have tried to watch that show since its inception.. I just cant though, its way too painful. The script sucks, actors are worthless, and it's overall just super cheesy.. I forced myself to watch most of season 1 and random episodes that have been on it. But its not even one tenth of Hustle's greatness, originality, and overall amazing production quality..

3 problems with it.

1. the whole place would stink of paint when security came in in the morning.

2. they wouldnt know what the hooks on the wall looked like so how could they replicate them.

3. supposedly, the alarms would be set off if the painting moved a millimetre. i think bashing a shallow wall just in front of it with a crowbar would cause vibrations strong enough to make the painting move. (however, the alarm system may have been turned off during the day)

2 Problems with your comment

1 - the gallery is new anyway, so the paint smell wouldn't come as a surprise

2 - if you've just lost a 3 million painting, at first you wouldn't take the hooks into consideration, so it wouldn't make a difference what hooks they use. anyway, they didnt install the painting personally, so how would they know the original hooks anyway? lol.

1. A paint such as a water-base latex paint or something that uses an ourderless mineral spirit as thinner, they'd be little or no smell by morning.

2. who'd notice hooks that theyd probably only seen once if at all after realising a 3mill painting had gone missing.

3. if the person had walked too see the missing painting the security system must have been swiched off due to fact that the place was opening.
